Re: How to avoid cliché in a Japanese high school setting?

It's true that asking how to avoid cliché here is like asking how to avoid cars on a freeway, but I suppose it is not impossible. Still, if you've never been there, your best hope would be a thorough, thorough study, and perhaps also playing other VNs set in Japanese high school setting. If you stri...

Re: POINTLESS [Adventure Game/ Dating Simm Hybrid]

I have waited eons for a game about nothing in particular, and while many have come out, none have looked this good.
I like your art style, and the eclectic ideas you have gathered. GUI looks great here too.
Can't wait, can't wait at all to play this.

Re: What is your religion?

Hey, I always want to go up to them, but perhaps not for a hug haha. You're setting a better example here. You know the saying... the people that deserve love the least need it the most. (Even if it kills us to administer it to them...) I honestly didn't realize they were a real church until fairly...

Re: What is your religion?

Non-denominational Christian. I love my faith but am frustrated by all the Bible-bangers and freeze-ray leaders out there, who do a terrific job of giving Christianity a bad name. Same. Every time I see those Westboro guys on TV I just want to go up to them, give them all an enormous hug and remind...

A TV dinner {insert everyone's cries of utter jealousy} and a cup of apple soda. Isn't that exciting...?

Non-denominational Christian. I love my faith but am frustrated by all the Bible-bangers and freeze-ray leaders out there, who do a terrific job of giving Christianity a bad name. Nonetheless, it's what I believe, and happily so. I just don't find any other theory plausible and, I've seen the truth ...

Re: Inspiration for Fantasy Names.

Sometimes I believe my mind is only good for churning out the interesting gibberish that I use in my fantasy works. Normally, it just pops out of somewhere, but when that doesn't work, flipping through a thesaurus, or studying foreign languages usually helps. I don't like using name generators, thou...

Re: [For Girl] Does girl feel like to dating Kid?

It depends mostly on the viewer. Some say, "Oh LORD she's a year older than him call the POLICE!" My creepiness wave usually pauses at four years. Shotas are popular and all, but if your heroine is, say, 24 and your shota is 14, she's probably a good example of a cougar. On second thought,...

Re: [Idea Thingy] A 'book' together

I love writing so much I even enjoy essays. But, to be frank, my art sucks. So how thrilled was I when I was approached by an artist? This much at least. PyTom makes a great point here, and I believe artist and writer are balanced equally in how important there are. A game is okay with a a good stor...

Re: What are your favourite VN Characters?

http://gamecola.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/miles-edgeworth-demo.PNG I absolutely love Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney. His utter brilliant logic, yet naivete, plus his straight man role...he's hilarious. I love prudes. I could relate to his sarcasm and exasperation. Also, his character growth...

Re: What kind of Anime/Otome Character do you like ?

Shotas--/bricked. Kuudere shotas, then. Gosh. Hey, Break from Pandora Hearts is my idea of a 'mysterious troll' haha. I like his types too, which normally fall under what my good friend hates. Too much of a troll makes me want to break out a German suplex, though, so not too yandere orz. Guess that'...

Re: How do you play VNs?

I always go for the best looking guy first, superficially. I choose choices that I myself would choose, and groan when it's inevitably the very wrong choice. I don't use walkthroughs unless I'm absolutely stuck, although my friend always uses them. A completionist? Not guilty. My verdict is tossing ...

Re: Why do many girls like cruel guys?

I like kuudere myself, but strangely, that usually results in people asking if I have a conquer fetish. My good friend adores tsundere because she thinks they are cute. A lot of people like hot and cold water. Yandere are popular because...because...I suppose some enjoy the challenge, or the creepin...

Re: Before and after: How much have you changed?

How much I have changed means I now have something halfway legible, at least. Looking back at my old works gives me the urge to toss them out the window and dance on the pieces.
I still use too much sarcasm from my partner's point of view. Probably.

Re: How did you decide on a team/studio/other name?

My partner's the one who started the company--but she asked me to name it. I came up with around five lame suggestions...then I suddenly asked if she'd like Oceanic Eden, as she likes the fantasy-type flair. Not very exciting, but that's how we got here.
