Eiji, that's odd. Windows XP is the operating system I use. What happens when you try to run it? Have you got the Macromedia Flash Player installed? (Or possibly it's the shockwave flash player you need.) I'm not sure at this time.. I'll bring my comp to my friends house this weekend (if I can) and...

scrapping torque

 ok.. seems that my cabal of wannabe game designers have come to the decision that Torque (the engine used in "TRIBES 2") is too dated for what we want to do with it.. so as of sunday, Jul 18 2004, we have scrapped the usage of torque and have begun writing our own engine.. http://ba...

trying to find a way to reduce the size (who would like a 100 MB game, right? - I'm not joking).
hey now... anyone ever seen how much disk space EQ takes up?
with all the expansions its close to 3 or 4 GB.

I used to play Star Wars:Galaxies too.. that one took up about 1.05 gigs.

Does that include a complete war-drobe set to choose from with different skills and abilities for each? no.. its just the engine and scripting to make things like water, reflective surfaces and refractions (like looking thru a ghost). things like wardrobe and skills get put in the scripting section...

Totally sweet. From the looks of it though, a commercial liscence won't be out for a while. yeah.. I saw the screenies.. and they look PRO grade too.. I dont know if my friends and me will go with it for our MMOG.. but we could add scripts to do that ourselves. however, you could (in theory) make a...

Torque Engine get massive upgrade..

get an eyefull of this gang... I was hanging around the Garagegames.com site a week ago.. and stumbled onto this in their news section. seems they now have a "shader engine" that costs 150 extra (you must have the starter SDK first). from the looks of it.. its a rather nice upgrade.. so ch...

Nice idea. Best of luck to everyone. Writing isn't my specialty though so I'll sit this one out. Do you think there would be a fanart contest in the future? =) I think I'll pass this one too.. I"m still tied up working on the backstory for my MMOG. good news is.. we decided the game-format (we...
