Re: Forever Alone: Nerds the Gathering

Well, it's referencing a meme and Magic: The Gathering, so I dunno. It seems pretty suitably nerdy to me.

Brands and Commercial Names in VNs

This topic isn't meant to be about the legality of mentioning brand and commercial names in visual novels, but rather about what readers think of seeing them mentioned. Do you find it distracting to see a familiar brand, title of a movie, book, or TV show mentioned in fiction? Do you prefer made up ...

Re: Forever Alone: Nerds the Gathering

This. I approve of this. I want this to happen. Make it happen quickly. Also, put me in the happy to not see the usual art style boat. The sketches are a little rough, but the style seems potentially interesting once it's finalized. Though, Michelle's mouth sticks out to me as a bit odd. Is it open?...

Re: Fanservice for women?

Bri has a pretty likable personality, but the muscles, artificial or not, are still unfortunate. Also, he looks like a buff robot rabbit which, while awesome, isn't all that attractive. We're talking about pure fanservice, here. Still, he's a cool guy. I'd give him a high five. Ichise from Texhnoliz...

Re: Fanservice for women?

I know I'm really late in saying this, but Adam Jensen's arms are exactly what make him sexy, in my opinion. Adam, you may not have asked for this, but I certainly did. On the topic of abs, they're almost always a major turn off for me, but yeah, opinions on them varies a lot depending on the person...

No rush. XD I'm happy enough that you find it worth a second runthrough at all. Hopefully it won't be disappointing.

Re: [Demo!] The World is Made of Paper

Thank you! All of the demo endings are cliffhangers of some sort, but yeah, you did get the most laid back and straightforward of them. The other two at least end on more dramatic notes than it. Don't worry, though, I have plenty of plans to give that particular course of action it's share of crazin...

Re: Toy Box

Aw, man. I try so hard to not judge a VN topic by it's character designs and art style, but I honestly find these ones so adorable that I couldn't resist it. I really hope the novel itself lives up to the design quality. Bunch me in with the Rob and Rep. fanclubs. I'm also curious about what Krawk's...

Re: [Demo!] The World is Made of Paper

Got it. I'll take a knife to the adverbs, and keep an eye out for them in the future. Thank you so much for pointing that problem out. I'll also try to spice up a few of the "X and then X" sentences, too. The art in the demo was all sketched on paper, then colored with a mouse, which is pr...

Re: [Demo!] The World is Made of Paper

Thank you so much! As for Trevor, no worries. Trevor does, in fact, have more to him than just being comic relief. He's an important character who just so happens to never take anything seriously. Also, yeah, that's pretty much what I was doing when I wrote that demo ending. XD Out of curiosity, wha...

Re: [Demo!] The World is Made of Paper

After a somewhat busy summer, work has started back up on the full version of The World is Made of Paper. Quite a bit of writing is being done, and my new tablet will be put to good use. Said tablet has also made me decide that I'm going to make multiple outfits for characters. People don't always w...

Re: Visual Novel Survey~!

Favorite thing about Visual Novels? The opportunity for complex storytelling with visual aspects and the chance to change the course of the story. They're extremely engaging when done right, and have a lot of potential for unique storytelling devices. LEAST favorite thing? The fact that people often...

Re: [Demo!] The World is Made of Paper

Thank you, all of you! I guess I just wasn't drawing enough attention to the topic, somehow. @broken_angel: The 300 MB file was a flub. I've long since reuploaded the correctly sized one, which is only a little more than 90 MB. Sorry for the trouble before. @James: Thank you for the feedback. No wor...

Re: [Demo!] The World is Made of Paper

Huge congrats on getting the demo out! I haven't had a chance yet to play through the entire thing again, but the new CGs look great, and the interface and title screen are gorgeous. You're alive! Are you still around in Pittsburgh? And thank you! No need to rush. I'm really glad you like the CGs, ...
