Re: Half naked boys in swimming pool, from the maker of K-ON

They often make random commercials outside of their main projects. Though many employees of the company are females, so it's natural they want to make an anime for yaoi fan girls. Too bad it's just a commercial, but judgin from the crowd reaction, hopefully something will come out of this. Though I...

Re: Decline of Bishoujo Game Industry

Oh, I'd just like to add something: Propeller, a established company that released a successful PG title last year, is taking a shot at an all-ages fantasy/action game with a female protagonist . It doesn't seem to be yuri, if that's confirmed then they're trying to make a friendship-based VN. I do...

Re: Some thoughts on being "good enough" and the magnus opus

I actually make my current project pretty achievable, I cut a lot of features that I planned during the start of the project. When I present the project to my friend, he ask me to put those removed features back =__=;

Re: Productivity Challenge

It's not something that works for everybody (sometimes lagging/procrastinating on a project, IMHO, is a good sign you should at least temporarily abandon it instead of trying to walk through a brick wall) but concrete goals are generally not a bad thing to have. in my experience, this is very true ...

Re: Would you play a game with this trope.

Would it be better to state in the character description that it is a trap character? I dunno ... but a lot of the anime/manga that I read seems to reveal his trapness in the character description or reveal it early in the story Edit: Eh, my opinion is actually a lot more complex than just that, bu...

Re: Would you play a game with this trope.

(I think worrying too much about the welfare of nonexistent fantasy children is silly, it's just that this particular argument is not a good one to fall into.) It's not about nonexistent people, it's about perpetuating the idea behind it. In my opinion, people who think that protecting non existant...

Re: Would you play a game with this trope.

@sundownkid: 30+ is past their prime age, people's physical ability begin to decrease at that age. Some might still be able to compete with younger athletes because they have more experience (it also depends on the sports, if it's only require pure physical ability without any strategy at all than i...

Re: Would you play a game with this trope.

Uhh, I don't think a 30 year old guy would qualify as an "old person", that's usually reserved for people who are, like, 70. ok, then just replace old people with people with age 30-45 years old The loli phenomenon is mainly reserved to Japan, where it's apparently not abnormal for a pre-...

Re: Would you play a game with this trope.

as long as the game is good and I have the money (in case if it's commercial) then I'll play it. but be prepared to be called phedophile, sicko and stuff by people who is not your audience. I've been called a phedophile while watching Fukuhara Kaori doing a baseball pitch last year (I don't remember...

it will be nice to see your game on steam, but yeah .. I think steam will prefer a game where you kill people than a game where you make love with people ^^

Re: Releasing a visual novel in parts/chapters?

I think pytom mention something about persistent data or something? Can't really remember ... but I think it's about some variables that can be used by two/more different games
