Re: major art changes in CGs?
It might depend on the game and such, but I've seen this done in commercial video games before and sometimes it can work quite well. I think it really depends how you do it, but I'd probably play it if I liked the story and such. o3o

Re: How do you pay your writer?
I think the way writing works depends on the writer and the VN that you're working on. :) Some writers will go to outside sources for help with editing, but it depends on many things: Did you make the story yourself (is it your own idea)? Did someone hire you, or are you hiring others yourself? I no...

Re: Violin Music?
Some keyboards have various sounds including violins, so if you can play mild piano/keyboard and have one, you might be able to use that as a go-around. But you can always go to the recruitment forum and see if you can find a violinist willing to help...or, if you have friends who play violin, they ...

Re: Cooperation with proofreader
Proofreading really varies from one person to another I think. Personally, when I read something, I just write all my notes and details in a notepad document so that you can decide what changes you need- but like others said, sometimes there are editors who just prefer to point it out directly in th...

Re: Fairy tale within a story?
A fairy tale can mean different things in different places, too. You might find it helpful to build where your story takes place using them and using things about the area- it's interesting if you read fairy tales from other cultures. I've read and heard a lot of fairy tales in my own country of cou...

Re: The last book you read or what are you reading right now
I found a book in my room today that I plan to start reading (actually, I started it briefly, but hurt my eyes and stopped after a few pages) for personal interest, called Virtually Normal. The title interests me, and apparently the content might too, since it gives detailed info on a lot of differe...

Re: June's Art Thread [Crit/Comms Welcome]
Thank you super much for the tips! I should try doing something a little more recent using these, and also using a technique I learned to help me understand light sources better. And your reminder of imperfections and warm colors is a good one. Thanks a bunch- and for the example, too! <3

June's Art Thread [Crit/Comms Welcome]
I figure even if my art is sorta stinky, I can still post it. Plus, getting feedback is great for an artist, right? And the practice is always good too. :) Um...Well, most of my art is done in ComiPo actually, so you'll mostly see stuff that's made from that on my DeviantART , but I'll try posting s...

Re: Volunteering Free Art For Yuri Game
Haha, I like the story idea. It seems like a good yuri with a bit of comedy, too. :D The characters seem interesting-- I had a question. You said originally that you wanted to base the game in Japan because of your sprite generator, but if you have original sprites would that still be the case? Oh,...

Re: Volunteering Free Art For Yuri Game
You seem awesome, and I'd love to ask for your help for my GL, Crow. :D I have a story and characters, but I'd be happy to hear your input, and ask you to do art for it. There's a bunch of girls for the player to choose from, and one guy just in case they want one, and it's a pretty simple backgroun...

Re: Do you care about how many options there are?
I think it depends on the game and what the choices are for. If it's a kinetic story where the choices don't do much, I wouldn't really see a reason to have a lot- unless, say, there are lots of endings but the rest of the story is kinetic. Then you might want a lot of choices that vary the endings....

Re: 2014 Nanoreno Post Mortem!
From my perspective, the project was still fun to work on, but it was a bit difficult at times for sure. I feel bad since Sakura had to do most of the work, as my computer just loves to drive me nuts and turn the sound into my enemy on and off. Also, I stink at art, and had to learn a lot to do anyt...

Re: One Leaf Clover [GxB] [Slice of Life] [NaNo2014]
Depends on which part of the art you mean? As it says in credits, art is from Tokudaya and Uncle Mugen. :) Tokudaya is all sprites, and I think mostly all the backgrounds are Uncle Mugen? Forgot at the moment for certain. >w< TT u TT Oh.. Sorrie I don't really read most of credits u^u <<LazyBum Bas...
