Re: Metropolitan Blues - Released
There's a walkthrough here , which shows how the various sections of the game are structured. Metropolitan Blues is quite an unusual game, due to the nature of the protagonist, and how the choices are structured, to take the player down paths with different themes (loneliness, purpose, identity). It...

Re: Proposed interface for isometric engine
This is a suggestion more from a gameplay perspective: It would be good to have an easy way of implementing difficulty levels (probably scaling HP for one side up or down would be simplest).

Re: Visual novels... how to play them?
With Metropolitan Blues, the story does branch after the opening choice you make, but the events only change significantly about half-way into the story.

Re: Visual novels... how to play them?
Transitions are scripting commands used by the creator to change how the game moves between screens (eg having one background dissolve into another). It's probably best for most games to play with this enabled. If Auto Forward Time is enabled, the text will advance automatically, at the chosen speed...

Re: Wanna plug your blog?
Hey, LSF community. I have a visual novel review blog for all of you to enjoy. There's only a few games on there, but there should be at least a dozen more in due time. I like your reviews/style of reviewing, and you're much better at it than I am :). I do sugarcoat when I write, but maybe the word...

I'm definitely interested and will be able to make any time on the 25th or 26th, although I don't think I have a functioning microphone I can use.

This is looking really good so far - the art looks great (particularly the colouring and shading), and the overall concept is very unique.

Once I've finished the overdue article for the VN blog, and the music for N+L, I'll try and compose a few tracks for this.

Re: Tying Threads
What I found most impressive about Tying Threads, was the overall 'interface' of the game - the menu and text layout, the switches from greyscale to colour and back, the use of a blank face for Cheryl initially, and the choices of music all helped create a very unique atmosphere for the game (and I...

Re: 2007 Year in Ren'Py
Thanks PyTom, and everyone else in the Lemmasoft community - it's been a great year . At some point, I'll try and write a retrospective of 2007 - although with so many games released, it might take a while. Here's to even more games in 2008 .
