This sounds really interesting... Sadly I can't really help you with your problem, since I have no experience making videos at all.
I just wanted to give you a heads up, I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Will you post the link in this thread if you only release it via youtube?

Re: [WIP] Sword vs. Staff
Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting anything in such a long time... I still work on this project and got some stuff done, though my progress is really slow because I have so much studying to do. The issue I had with the movements is resolved and I found some backgrounds. I'm not overly happy with th...

Re: Doing math with variables (Unsolved)
This seemed to work on a quick check: label start: e "You've created a new Ren'Py game." $ var1 = 10 $ var2 = 5 # we define the new variable and assign the value of the difference (var1 - var2) to it $ var3 = var1 - var2 # now eileen will tell us the solution $ e('the solution is %d' %(var...

Re: Character shake not screen
Thank you very much! This solved it for me, and since I only need to shake one character at a time, it seems I don't even have to bother about the layers.

Re: Character shake not screen
I guess the code in this thread could be helpful: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=19192&hilit=transitions Maybe if one added a layers argument (as seen here: http://www.renpy.org/doc/html/transitions.html ), this would serve our purpose? The problem is, I don't know what...

Re: Character shake not screen
That's exactly the problem I am facing at the moment, too... Let's hope for a reply, if i figure something out, I'll post it here. I tried around with vpunch, but it seems you can't apply it to single objects, it is always shaking the screen.

Re: Dive Into Python: The Perfect Python Tutorial
As many of you know, Renpy is made from Python code with smatterings of Pygame intermixed with it. I first learned Python several years ago and I fell in love with it the first time I started a program. I know quite a few languages: C++, Java, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Visual Basic (and several v...

So, I did some scripting, I have Thanys' and Delor's pictures in there by now, but I still have some issues about them moving not quite as I want them too. Next thing will probably be finding bgs...
