Ooooh, there're still recent posts! I guess I should introduce myself too as a first post.

Name: Kazu (not my real name, but... yeah. Please do call me Kazu :D)
Gender: Male
Location: Philippines
Occupation: College student
Interests: Anime, coding, music, math... nerdy stuff :P
Website: none... yet.

Now this is just random stuff, ignorable:
Motto: Life is too short to harbor regrets -- live it to the fullest!
Favorite Expression: e^x, because it's easy to integrate/differentiate
Favorite Number: 7
Favorite Color: Green
Current thought: How do you adjust the music volume in-script in Ren'Py? :?
Current irritating question in my head: Why does DirectX still prevail over OpenGL in the mainstream market?
Current concern: this post being too tl;dr

Well anyway, here's my little tale for coming to this forum -- I'd be smitten if you'd take the time to read it:
I got interested in how VN's work and how effective it is as a medium of expression, then snooped around the web for VN development tools in English. At the time, I thought my search would fail, as most VN's I knew were from Japan, and it didn't seem like many people around me knew about VN's in the first place.

Then I discovered Ren'Py, and realized I found heaven.
I downloaded it, played around with it, and consulted the wiki -- usual stuff.
I learnt a bit more about Ren'Py and its roots, saw the Ren'Py Games List (I was like 'woah' at the time) and eventually ended up here.

As thanks and appreciation to Ren'Py and to expose myself to the English ren'ai community, I found myself signing up here and posting in the guestbook.

I also want to learn from fellow newbies and respected veterans around here, so please do take care of me. :D

Right now, I'm trying to convince my friends to try out and make a rudimentary VN with me. If all goes well, and with help from this beloved forum, we might promote our finished product here. :D

Again, hello everyone! Pleased to meet you. I'll be a good (albeit kinda eccentric) guy, so please take care of me! :D

Hi everyone! I couldn't draw a correct sketch to save my life, I'm a self-dissatified writer, so I'll probably fall back on my technical expertise to contribute to this great community.
I'm also a huge dork. Wanna know the extend of my dorkiness? I postponed presenting myself just so I could post the 2000th post. :)

I live in South America, Peru to be specific(...No! I don't ride llamas)
Peru is its beautiful. Im very glad I'm peruvian, It's an unique place.

Hmmm...I always liked to create stories, I started doing comics with my friends at school,
and continued doing them until now. I've also published by myself some fanzines...
Hmmm...(wow how...Interesting!)

I get discouraged easily! But I find the VN medium very fun to handle...I might be doing
VN for a while haha

My name's Sabrina, maybe Sab or Sabby for short I guess?
I'm also in South America, in Brazil... I'm 19 years old and currently in university.
Hmm, I don't have a website, though I have a blog where I post some fanarts and silly ramblings. Here: http://cosplaysex.tumblr.com/
I'm enjoying what I've seen from the forums so far! Everyone seems really helpful.
I'm really new to visual novels, and I have started writing a fantasy/horror one.
I plan to release it in english and portuguese, since that's all I can speak. Well, I still have to find my way around Ren'py's coding and stuff.
Let's see how it turns out~ Hello everyone!

Hi everybody!
I'm Daen. I'm 18 years old :)
I've been writing stories for a long while ^_^
My dream is to make 3D animations based on them in an anime-like style. I'm seeing if I can get into college this year as a step towards that.

I found Ren'Py a year or two ago and really wanted to get into making visual novels :)
I experimented with some basics of the code and started using it but I wasn't consistent enough and it didn't go anywhere.
From what I've seen, and after about a year of studying HTML/CSS/JavaScript/blahblah/arg-learning-how-to-code-is-like-a-chore, I've noticed that from what I've seen so far, Ren'Py isn't too hard to learn :) which is great. It lets you focus on just creating your story, art, and music as opposed to technical things which... nnn... you know.

Signing up for this site, I actually noticed that my other email address was in use. I searched for a while but I'd completely forgotten the username I'd used back then, and I can't do anything without the name so I made just this one. Oppsie... if there's an issue with that, let me know... though I might not be of any help being as I don't remember the user... only the email... but it feels appropriate to me because I've changed since last time... and to me that's nice : )
My new user name,"ZaisConsultant" is a reference to a character from one of my stories.

I'd love to get into Ren'Py :) I really want to do something and I'm gonna love this.
I really look forward to being in a community with you guys, this place seems really creative and inspiring- and without structure sometimes I just can't work, you know? I'm sick of sitting around, and lately I've had the urge to create ^^

Umm~ ^_^ I'm mostly a writer. I've made an entire rough manuscript for a novel/novela which probably still needs editing- and I've made pages and pages of other stories as well. I look forward to making them into VNs or making other spiritual versions/adaptations of them into VNs.
I'm pretty good at drawing with paint or pencil or on Photoshop/the Gimp, but I've found that I just don't draw at most times because of the lack of structure.
I have a loving girlfriend and I am a Christian.
^_^ and I can sometimes overuse emotes as you may have already guessed.
And I'm from Canada!

Don't let me loose focus of this jive you guys. Pretty please~

edit: And I'm a guy. How... did I miss that...?

Well, well – what an inspiring bunch we have here!
Greetings to you all from the streets of the West!

Clear as day, I am Cain,
Allow me to introduce
A brief summary, not in vain,
To tell my very use

To amuse, debate,
To love and hate,
As fellow humans do...

Why hello there,
it's a pleasure,
and goodnight to you too!
