Not sure to what extent this qualifies as a VN, anyway, but I've been wanting to explore warfare in this format for some time so I churned out a drab about an unknown soldier sent to France during WWI following Memorial Day here in the US, though I realize November 11 is more common and I personally celebrate July 1. Would love to see someone treat the human aspects of warfare in a more substantial project. Will get back to real projects now. Not sure this is something to enjoy, but anyway.
Not a major project by any stretch of the imagination, just took two evenings:
The game contains 119 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 2,463 words,
for an average of 20.7 words per screen.
and some menus.
No sprites, photo backgrounds from the appropriate point in history and period music - a lot of it quite famous, believe it or not (and conveniently public domain due to age!) Also first post here.

Re: Letters Home
I love history, and thus I love this game as well. The music was awesome! Is there only one ending though?

Re: Letters Home
The game was interesting.
I am interested in World War and was thinking of making a game about World War.
I have sent you a pm.

Re: Letters Home
Yeah, there's only one ending. I was thinking about including a separate ending that turns out differently but I couldn't see which choices to condition it on and I didn't want to make it just random, and I also felt it would detract for the theme.xxxSakura wrote:I love history, and thus I love this game as well. Sorry for taking so long to respond, thanks a lot for playing.
