If you haven't been following the news on our forum, here's a note to let you know that the latest FREE CONTENT UPDATE is now available via the patch updater. If you have a registered copy, go to Options, then Updater, and you should be able to upgrade to the new build. No need to buy anything extra!

The new content adds a sub-path for the character of

, with several new scenes and the option to partner him at the final dance. It is not a full romance, but it is fun (and yes,

Mister Hoppity

is involved)

If you're interested in what's new EVER, there is a changelog here. It tends not to be very interesting, since it goes back to well before the game was put on official release, and most of what's in it is Spiky doing random technical things that even I don't understand, largely involving ports for random platforms, but it does exist if you want more information on what's been added when. Scroll way down to the bottom to see the newest stuff.

Mostly it's been minor bugfixes since the official release, other than the addition of the Wiggle Wand. This is the first noticeable batch of new scenes to go in.

Alright, I must sound like an idiot right now, but I got a copy off Steam, and I can't find the Updater thing. The only thing I get that's close to it is a line saying what version it is. Could you maybe post a screenshot or something to point out what I can't see? Because I appear to be blind.

Was the updater taken off for the Steam version maybe? I couldn't find it myself, but I guess it would make sense since Steam has their own updater for all the games, right?

Yes, we have to lock the updater out for Steam because Steam distributes its own updates. Ifwhen there are new versions, once Steam approves them it will automatically distribute them to keep you up to date.

I really loved the demo, so I bought the game.
I don't know why, but when I try to install it, it just says that the file in corrupted T.T

Did you buy direct from me? It's possible that your download didn't complete (sometimes large files lose a few pieces when being downloaded so they end up corrupted) - try downloading from one of the mirrors, if those links are still active? (You should have gotten a couple of mirror locations in your email, if you bought direct.)

If those links don't work I can give you a new download link but I'll need to find your order so I know what version you got. Contact me either by email or private message with your receipt and I'll sort something out.

Thank you so much for putting Magical Diary on Steam. It's so much nicer to be able to have it through steam then buy it and directly downloaded it since if your computer dies it's easy to get back since there's no worries about having a back up elsewhere.
