:D Great job. Exquisite and refined game. Not too easy but not too tricky. Exactly the kind of fun you can expect from the Hidden Object genre. My favorite since I played the Tudors one (though of course this one's much shorter).
I had a hell of a time looking for the "plates" in the Attic
Thank you very much for this.

This was a really good, polished game. I have been a sucker for a few hidden object games in the past, though I haven't played one for years, but I do know what a good one is like. I was afraid this would be too easy (and indeed, it wasn't as hard as some commercial ones), but I didn't breeze right through. Not at all.
In fact, I hate the conservatory and its damn butterflies. Screw you pink butterfly that looks white. Yes, you. And oh man, those objects outside of the window were just cruel. xD
I have to say, what I like most about your game compared to others, is that the items, for the most part, were relevant to their rooms. I know I could go to the kitchen or the living room in some HO games and it would just be the same crap. Over and over, for all the rooms. The differing things would be mainly the BG. I liked going into the different rooms and finding different stuff. That was truly fun and unfortunately innovative. xD Yay thumbs up yay.

Just finished it. I found it a bit easy, but that was probably because I was playing another hidden object game yesterday.
'Tis very pretty and professional-looking, and I like how many of the objects were in places you'd expect them to be. (There weren't any shoes stuck to the roof for example.) Music was lovely and fit right in with the atmosphere.
All in all, a very good game.

I'm thrilled you enjoyed my game, and my apologies that it was so short. It takes roughly two to three days to Photoshop one room. After making 9 of them, I kind of ran out of ideas on what rooms to make. That and the music I was using only had 10 songs to the album: 9 room songs and one opening/closing song.

Err... The missing plates were a glitch. The imagemap coordinates overlapped with the 'sampler.' That glitch has since been fixed, among a few other tiny adjustments.
It's already been upgraded if you'd like the 'fixed version.

Okay, so I do have something of a sadistic streak. ;)

Except for the butterflies. *snicker*
You have something of a reputation for being a hard customer to please. Not that I mind!

I've only played a few hidden object games myself and I have to agree. They tend to use the same things over and over with new backdrops, which makes it a little too easy to tell what's supposedly hidden.

Actually, it was probably a bit easy because I'm still new at game making. Give me time...
Desu_Cake wrote:'Tis very pretty and professional-looking...
Thank you! I swear my Photoshop was smoking when I finally finished making all the graphics.

I probably should have stuck a few more things in strange places, but it just didn't feel right to me.

You did a really good job! I am very impressed and forced my son to watch my name in the credits. *squeee*

It was a light fun game. Adding the hints was a stroke of genius. It kept me from getting too frustrated.

I am so in awe of your photoshop ninja skills.

Keep up the good work!

I told you I'd be crediting you in my game. :) It's an excellent piece of coding. I'm so pleased I was able to do it justice.
SusanTheCat wrote:It was a light fun game.
Good. That was exactly what I wanted to make.
SusanTheCat wrote:Adding the hints was a stroke of genius. It kept me from getting too frustrated.
Um, you came up with the coding for that too, remember? LOL!
SusanTheCat wrote:I am so in awe of your photoshop ninja skills.
Thank you sweety. (The rooms took two to three days a piece, and then there was all the clickable 'stuff'. I had no idea just how difficult it was to add 20 to 30 additional pieces and not have any of it overlap. Jeeze...)

When I started the game (win version) AVG told me that the thread was detected. WTF?

My own AVG said the same thing, and I made the game on That computer!

I adore the style of all your games! It's absolutely beautiful. <3 I thought this was fabulous, too, I'm a sucker for hidden object games and it's so nice to find a good one that's free T^T

So, you can say it's safe? Ok, I'm gonna check this and maybe I'll write a review at my blog as well.

Thank you so much! I'm thrilled you like the art style of my games. I'm something of a Photoshop-a-holic. I'm really glad you enjoyed playing this one. :)

I did notice that most of the hidden object games I found were merely demos for larger games. Kind of ruined the experience for me.
Arkon wrote:So, you can say it's safe? Ok, I'm gonna check this and maybe I'll write a review at my blog as well.
Yes, it's completely safe. I barely have the skill to code a Renpy game, I certainly don't have the skill to write a virus. I swear, your program is freaking out because it has an .exe file -- which it must have or it won't play.
