The Forgetful Kiwi [NanoRemo 2012]

The Forgetful Kiwi consists of 2 short stories revolving around Kiwi, who is quite forgetful. As well as other friends he meets along the way.


1. Kiwi's Suprise - Kiwi is sent to the store to pick up a few items, will he remember to go? or will he goof off with Pingu instead.


2. Pingu's Birthday Party - Kiwi is invited to Pingu's birthday party, but gets lost along the way. There he meets an anteater that claims to know the way, however he wants help first. Will Kiwi help him or not?

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it; this was my first completed game, everything (sans music) was done by me.

Sorry for taking so long, I had it done during Nanorimo, but things got busy so I haven't had a chance to post it up until now.

That was so cute. I want a Kiwi now! I loved the expressions they were funny. The bgs are perfect for the style you were going for, I also think they are very pleasing to the eye.

I only wish there was more. I wanted more stories ):

oh thank you I'm so glad you liked it! And the artstyle was good enough (I'm terrible at drawing that really is the best i can do haha XD)

aww, i wanted more stories, but i ran out of time. Maybe sometime i can expand on this idea and make more stories about it.

Ive played it yesterday XD...I wish it could have more chapters...I really enjoy child like stories

Ahaha I liked the magician Anteater...I think that most of people would have doubt it since it was an stranger
In the end it took me to the party
There was a typo(I think! Im a little bit new to all of this haha)on the end credits it says "Nanorimo"

Also well this is just an observation but maybe It could help on future projetcs?

I think the textbox could have been customizated to blend with the style of the whole game.
Maybe paper like textbox and a rounder font style...This sites might help if you want textures and fonts

Someday (maybe during summer when i have more time) I think I'll make another forgetful kiwi game, and include more stories. ~

haha! yeah sometimes helping strangers out isnt so bad! of course kids shouldnt speak to strangers, still hes a friendly anteater so its ok.
oh geez i forgot to change that thanks! I should of looked up how it was spelled before releasing the credits. >_<

oh thanks alot for those links! so useful *bookmarks* I thought of doing a custom textbox and whatnot, but i kind of was rushing it towards the end >_< well like i said, i'd like to do this again, and if I do I'll take more time with it and make a little textbox with better font.
