Absolutely ^^.

I bought Cinders and I'd certainly buy a Sophia-centric game as well.

I just bought the game! Yay!
But the Mac file downloaded from BMT is damaged and will not open! Boo!
So...I've sent emails to BMT and Tom...and hopefully I can get a non-damaged version.
Did anyone else have this problem?

Oh, I think I just replied to your email :). But here goes the explanation anyway, in case someone else has the same problem.

It's Gatekeeper. A.k.a. Apple's shady way to keep their system closed and squeeze profits from independent and freeware developers.

Unless you turn it off in your system preferences (more info), Gatekeeper blocks games and other apps from devs who haven't paid Apple. And it doesn't even tell you so or hint that you can simply disable it. It purposefully displays a misleading message that the file is broken and has to be moved to trash, while in reality everything's fine and they are just being greedy bastards.

The worst thing -- Windows is trying a similar thing with their "Smart Screen Filter". Soon, it will be impossible to release anything, even freeware stuff, without paying off some big corporation :(.

You did just reply to my email--and I just sent you one back thanking you...but I'm going to thank you here anyway!

Thank you so much for the suggestion. It worked like a charm! I loaded up Cinders and it works perfectly. But now I have to go do work. Tonight, I play Cinders!

Haha, why would you get sued or arrested? ;)

If the purchase went through and you received your download email, then everything's fine. Thanks :).

OMG thanks :D I thought I'd get sued or arrested because I thought I could've gotten the game without paying it (because I wasn't so sure if I had really payed it or not ^^'~what if I had done something wrong!?). Woosh I feel so much better now!!
Now, talking about the game. OMG I have been playing it nonstop for loads of hours already *-* and I'm sooo in love with the story ^_^ It's so nice to actually see that my choices DO matter in the game (there are some games that really annoy because I find out that even if I had chosen 'A' instead of 'B', I'd still get the same ending or the same storyline). The art was absolutely beautiful (MOST BEAUTIFUL ART EVA!!!) and I'm definitely looking forward to your next work (I'll buy it for sure~and this time I won't freak out worrying that I got a product without buying it XD ~).

I was recently interviewed during JesuOtaku's livestream of Cinders. She's a video reviewer of anime and games, probabaly most known for her work for ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com.

I answer a lot of burning questions, such as “How was the game’s branching storyline planned?” or “What’s up with all those belts?” It was honestly loads of fun! :)

Also, an uncanny chance to listen to my sexy Eastern European accent :).

Thanks for posting the interview! And yes, your Eastern European accent is totally sexy! But then, most Americans I know tend to find accents sexy.

Tom, do folks in Poland tend to find people speaking in Polish sexy?

Haha, I dunno. It just sounds normal to us :). I do love our language, though. It's pretty complex and hard to learn but allows for some very creative wordplay and subtle meanings.

What's funny -- to us, someone speaking English with a Slavic accent sounds kinda lame. Like a Russian mobster from some cheap action flick :).

Oh I left out some words in my question (I must slow down with the typing). Do people in Poland find people speaking Polish with some other accent sexy? I mean if I learn Polish and have a light American accent will you think--ooh! Exotic and international! or will you think--Stupid American with their ugly accent!

Ahh. I see :).

It's a bit hard to tell. When someone comes here, they usually just communicate in English. However, we do find people speaking Polish with an American accent (mostly our own countrymen who emigrated years ago) a bit funny. The most common mix you can hear around here are Vietnamese immigrants speaking Polish with a very thick and distinct accent. I got used to it though, so I don't know if I have any connotations with it, either good or bad.

I think we find the same accents and languages sexy as the rest of the word. French, Spanish, thick British English. It's all pretty cool.
