LOVE IT ANYWAY!
Haha, yeah. Many people say something to that effect. We worked on HOG games before, so maybe there's something to it.

I have found most of the endings for this VN and bought it pretty much as soon as it was released after seeing it on the englishotomegames tumblr! so glad i did its an absolutely beautiful game with really clever choices and a brilliant way of seeing how your choices directly effect the story! worth every penny and cannot wait for their next release! the music is beautiful and the character designs are excellent too! :) also love the rewards page and how it changes the title page!

I found a whole bunch of photos of our team laying around on my hard drive since forever. Some just taken during work, some from the Cinders launch party, some when Marius visited us in Poland.

Uploaded everything to the team album on our facebook page. Have fun :D!

There isn't much mention of genre other than usual fairy tale so I'm curious if there are romantic themes in the game?

Yeah, there are three romance options possible, though they aren't the main focus on the game. It's a story about growing up, so romance is just an optional part of it.

Ooh, I'll make sure to include that piece of information when I'm visiting AdventureX this year. I'm sure people will love the opportunity to get that game at bargain price.

I can't wait to try this game!

However, on the site it says the game is now 11.50 dollars but when I click "buy" and it takes me to the store, suddenly the price is in euro... But you can select different currencies..
So, I was wondering, should I select "dollars"? Or should I just leave it as is?

The price is stays the same. It just converts it to whatever currency applies to your region. So it's $11.50 for people in the USA, and €9.50 in the EU at the moment.

Cinders Original Soundtrack is out! Get it here: LINK.

It includes extended versions of all the game’s tracks in high quality MP3/FLAC format, along with some cool extras.

Rob (our composer) made the download available on name your price basis. You can get it for free if you want. You can also send a few bucks his way as a token of appreciation for his work. Which I heartily recommend, as I think he did an outstanding job.

First part of Cinders postmortem is out. A sort of self-review where I pick our own game apart ;).

http://moacube.com/blog/cinders-postmor ... me-itself/

Part two is coming soon and will talk about the business and production side of things.

Let me know if you have any questions. I hope you'll find it useful.

Here's the second part of Cinders postmortem. It focuses on the business side of things -- how the production of the game went, how we marketed it, how much it sold.

Have a pleasant reading and I hope you'll find it interesting :).

I just wanted to say I really appreciate the candor and honesty in these post-mortem articles you write. Not too many game developers, indie or otherwise, go into the financial numbers and profit margins as detailed as you do. It really helps temper expectations for new indie developers, humanizes you with your audience, and shows the necessary planning for finding personal monetary success with a game.

Thank you so much for writing this. Your blog is one of my constant reads, and I love learning more about how you guys are doing things. There's no way I feel comfortable leaving my day job (darn student loans :-P), but knowing that you are out there doing awesome things like this really makes me happy. Hopefully we get to see Part 3 sooner rather than later!
