My curiosity's been piqued by this game, so I thought I'd have a go with One Story first - and it was definitely an enjoyable readthrough! Nonami, Haruka and Sora were all believable and likable characters - it took me a bit of time to warm to Sora, but that usually tends to be the case with tsundere
I accidentally spoiled myself on VNDB about Riku's
infidelity
. Usually I'm not a big fan of that kind of storyline,
and I was worried that the plot was going to get all School Days on me (when Sora stole the ticket, did Haruka ask her to do it ... ? Just the way she said "You did well, Sora" ...)
, but it was handled very tastefully.
The humour is very Azumanga Daioh-ish, especially at the
sports festival
. I don't think I'm going to be able to read Nonami's lines now without hearing Tomo Takino.
And, finally, I love the addition of the Director's Notes. You've really put your heart into this game, and it shows.
I do want to ask one thing, though:
Just after the bra-returning love-letter scene: when you eat casserole with Nonami after she interrupts you with Haruka, are there two scenes when there's meant to be one? Nonami says she's going back to class, only she turns up immediately in the same place again after you supposedly eat lunch with Haruka, only you've just eaten casserole with Nonami ... and she gives you the same advice over again. ^^;;
Apologies if I read it wrongly or got confused by something.
I'm really looking forward to giving the original game a shot!
P.S. I did laugh a little when I recognised some of Kevin McLeod's music. Got to love that guy.
