Toby's Tales - Curse of the Stairwell
My first game with Ren'Py, and my first post outside of the "help" section of the forums. XD
Features:
-495 screens of dialogue
-6,399 words
-32 menus
Note: Since it's my first game, it's rather streamlined and only has one ending; it's focused more on interaction and story.
Title: Toby's Tales - Curse of the Stairwell
Genre: Slice of Life, Mystery
Rating: G
Download (all OS): HERE
Download (all OS); mirror: HERE
License: Creative Commons 3.0
Summary:
Eight year old Melanie Fisher can't remember a time when she was included in classroom activities. Her peers seem to ignore her, and the professor never calls on her. In fact, nobody pays her any mind...until a new student transfers to her school.
She takes a leap of faith and tries to talk to Toby Yeoman, the transfer student, and is surprised when he becomes her best friend. However, not everything is as it seems, and there's something deeper going on.

I don't have a problem downloading it at all. Did you click 'free download'?Pixel_Linked wrote:Please use another file sharing website. I can't download your file unless I register.
Anyway, I'll post about the game once I've played through it.
e:
evil
that is goddamn evil and i hate you so much right now
even though it was pretty obvious oNE of them was a ghost you still weaved it into the story well and paced it right
the art strikes me odd and hurts my eyes at first, but i got used to it after a few minutes.
the music didn't add much to the game personally, but that might just be because ive had a bad headache lately

Yeah, I'm having a problem downloading it, too. I click "download", and 4shared asks me to log in. Am I doing something wrong?

similar problem for me. I click "download" on 4shared and nothing happens.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
My first VN project : The Season's Dance (the title might change). More info soon.

Re: Toby's Tales - Curse of the Stairwell
I've never had that problem with 4shared...
But, I added a download option for Mediafire as well for those having trouble.
@nottiebutt: How did the art bother your eyes? I'm asking so I can see if it's a common problem and figure out what I can do to fix that for my next project(s). I've been told my art style uses bold/bright colors...is that the problem, or is it something else?
Please let me know, and thanks for the feedback! ^^

@mdchan;
I think it's the shading style you used for the clothes. It's really barring and looks as if you've just randomly added shading without knowledge of how a jumper and how jeans would fall and shade naturally.

Alright, Mediafire worked! I'll tell you what I think after I finish it.
EDIT: I finished Toby's Tales! This was a pretty cute game; the ending was so sweet!
