There's a lot of folks who've been posting in the thread and have not sent me votes! I'm going to be sending out nudgy reminders to a few people, but... please do vote if you've been in here? :)

Not nobody, it's just that the way the votes are currently playing out, I want more data points to get a clear result.

As of the last vote I've received, the point totals are (not naming names)

21
19
19
14

then two at 9 and three at 8, then a handful of games with only one vote each (so 5's, 4's, and 3's.)

So we do have a top group at this point, but a single vote could completely disarrange their order.

Great, someone is going to vote for Pat Buchannan and we're going to have to have a recount.

To be honest, I imagine the amount of people who played through over at least half of the entries can be counted on two hands — I'd love to be proven wrong and up it to three. The contest and the discussion were fun and fruitful, but I was surprised at how much time it took! So I can't really blame people who had trouble finding the time to make an excessive amount of reviews.

The difficulty is that as you ask more people who didn't play many entries to vote, the less fair the final result will be.

That's why I decided to sit the voting out. I don't like the idea of picking a favorite without giving them all a fair chance. :(

(I don't feel terribly guilty though, cause I'm still contributing to the competition by means of the prize pool  )

I'm just giving it a touch of time because the reminders were helpful for some people who hadn't been reading this thread every single day, but I'll call it closed before the end of the week and take what we get.

Okay, so, we did have one vote past that point rearranging things slightly, and the situation now seems to have coasted to a gentle stop. Which means, I believe, that I can announce RESULTS.

In fourth place...

Outlook Of Spirit Commission

In third place...

Anniversaries, Adversity, and Pepper

In second place...

For Stellie

And in first place...

Fairy Tales of Innocent Children

I will be contacting winners privately to sort out prizes and such. In the meantime, authors are now free to reveal themselves if they so desire. Or keep themselves secret, wrap capes around themselves, and cackle madly. Whatever suits your fancy.

I hope everyone had a good time writing, playing, and discussing the games. A *lot* of games got one or two votes, so applause to all the authors.

Will I do this again next year? Dunno yet. Ask me next summer. :)

Third place! I'm pretty happy with that. I'm glad so many of you liked Anniversaries, Adversity, and Pepper. I'd still love feedback on the game though, even though the competition is over.
