Fun fact: The original game, much less intricate than the final version, was designed to evoke this exact emotion.
I'm working on some spoiler-free hint guides right now.

Never mind the original stuff. I figured it out *hits head because I'm dumb*.
I like how the puzzles are so easy they're difficult. I'll give a full review once I'm finished

Okay so...I still need help *sigh*.
You say the code for the 212 room key box is on the walls. Are you reffering to the arrows that point at rooms 0208 and 0315? I've tried them both, all combinations possible and still nothing. I guess I'm stupid.

No, you're playing on Insane difficulty... I need to write a different guide for that.

Really .-.? I thought I was playing on crazy...I gues my cursor accidentally slipped...oh well. That's why things I did and the ones in the guide were so different .-.
I'll keep doing thinking about it then.

Well, I've finally figured it out, beat the game, so review time ~~!
It was wonderfully well crafted. It was challenging and frustating at points, yet in a good way. Very few times a VN has managed to keep me on edge, so kudos for you! I enjoyed the puzzles, having epic showdowns with the clown, and those creepy moments when the clown randomly appeared...And that ending *shivers*.
I like to give things my own twist (even though that's not what you meant with the story) so I'll just guess there was no ghost and that our main character has a fear of clowns. He just makes the story up so he has an excuse for Sarah's death

. Ok I'll stop saying wierd things.
But yeah, it was a neat experience. Took me 3 damn days because I'm not smart and I kept ignoring that useful note at the beginning, and that kinda made me wanna quit...but meh, I did it in the end. Again, congratulations!

Greetings, I am The Overlord, and I do video game walkthroughs in my spare time, and when I came across this game I thought I would give it a try...
Gliese I joined this place through the link at your website because I just wanted to say thank you for driving me insane. I am quite enjoying the experience. And I hope to continue my downfall into madness soon.
And just so people know what they are getting into I will also post a link to my experience...

A video review! Mega-awesome! I will be watching this.
And laughing. Laughing hard as my well-placed traps fall into place.

I don't suppose I could pass off that crash as a cleverly placed trap? ;_;
It's a problem with the engine, really beyond my ability to fix.
But damn, I was on the edge of my seat for the entire video! And I made the damn game!
Also you basically somehow managed to solve all the Act 1 riddles for hard mode by accident...
I'm like wuuuuuut
(Also, you can access the trophy room by clicking on the clown in the title! It's only somewhat a secret.)

Just impressive your playthrough. Since i played the Crazy mode, i know the "basics" but the way you solved the hard mode act 1, and almost the act 2, well i'll say "respect". Good luck finishing the act 2, and starting the act 3. The next one is really a madness, i can't imagine how horrible it will be for your nerves to solve all the puzzles.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
My first VN project : The Season's Dance (the title might change). More info soon.
