Dean used to be a professional artist, until the day his father became ill 6 years ago. He gave up his career and took care of his father, but had lost the taste and joy for art. Upon a visit to his mother whom he used to live with, his drawings started to speak to him...

Linux version hasn't been tested yet. Let us know if you find any problems with it or if it works.
Posting this for Mayshing since she was unable to post before leaving for her trip (she did say hi in the guestbook). It's pretty much 4 art friends coming together to find (crunch)time and work on a project collaboration. With zero experience with Renpy they were able to produce this.

That was pretty sweet! I really enjoyed the varied art styles, and comic-book style of displaying images in the first bit. I would definitely wanted to see a longer game in a similar style to this. Keep up the good work. :3

Just finished it, and I must say I really loved it. The overall effect was very bittersweet and nostalgic, and the music wasn't too repetitive because the game was short. The message resonated with me, and I must say the whole deal gave me the chills (in a good way!). The only thing I can think of that might improve it is a separate scene for the messages you get from the drawings. Even handwritten words across a blank screen would have given it a heavier impact. As it is, the messages didn't give as much of an impact as they should have, considering their importance. But that's just me nitpicking!
Looking forward to your future works C:

Thank you so much for your caring crit, the team felt very encouraged by your response. I'm glad the message resonated with you, its also something we all needed ourselves.
We don't know yet at this point whether we will modify the game further depending on our schedule to get together again. But we will certainly consider your suggestion!

I loved it. The game was short but it was really lovely.
The different art styles gave the game a unique feel and introduced you to few different art styles, it is a great game.
Of course, the whole point of the game is brilliant.

This was really, really cool.
My only complaint was I had to turn down the music, as it was a mite repetitive. (Something I'm guilty of myself.)
I am so freakin' in love with the art style. Nice job...this was really lovely.

Nice to see this type of story. I liked the way the drawings were explored, the different art styles, and the use of panels instead of traditional sprites. I think most creators can sympathize with the difficulties of losing the "spark", whatever the reason. (I'm also glad you didn't make me start back at the beginning when I got the bad ending the first time.)
I know this had a short development period, but it always kills me to see a VN with this level of artwork that uses default styling. If you're willing to go back in for a few adjustments, I think some basic modifications--a minimalist textbox, different fonts (maybe a legible handwriting style like Zylinder suggested), and custom menus--and a little editing would bump it up a notch.

Finished playing the game, and seriously it's touching to me as an young artist. It makes me motivated and happy! The music fitted nicely, and I loved it!

Can you check, please?

Guess we were having network issues, but the IP was just changed so it seems to be up now. Sorry about that.
