The Royal Trap (commercial, renaissance intrigue, GxB/GxG)

#1 Post by papillon » Sat Feb 23, 2013 1:16 pm

not the historical Renaissance, mind you, but closer to that than your typical Medieval Fantasy...

Madeleine Valois is a prince's companion. Her job is to guide and advise him, to make him look good so that he can land a royal bride. It is her responsibility to keep him out of trouble - not to let him walk blindly into a political minefield, not to let him get arrested for a crime he didn't commit, and definitely not to let him fall in love with her.

Unfortunately, events are not going according to plan...

---

Our newest release, featuring a proactive protagonist, a lot of scheming and backstabbing, PLOT TWISTS, swords, guns, and possibly some romance along the way.

Free demo available at the game webpage here:
http://www.hanakogames.com/royaltrap.shtml

The demo covers the prologue and chapter 1. A full runthrough is 7 chapters long. Chapters 1-4 are common, chapters 5-7 are different for each route.

I don't usually play demos, but I feel I'll have a hard time convincing my folks to buy this for me but I can't not play it. So yeah, downloading now. Congrats on the release!

Edit: I finished the demo (which was far too short for my taste xD) and it exceeded my expectations. You've done a great job, both art-wise and story-wise. I can't wait to play the full version!

Congradulations on the release! The plot seems interesting! I'll download the demo as soon as I get my hands on my computer and internet (I'm using my mobile now). I would buy it but I'll have to save up from my allowance first... :(

Downloading the demo, can't wait to try it. ^_^v

Played it - really loved the set-up, the plot, Oscar was fun. Enjoyed the other characters, too. Will definitely be picking this up later this week. =D

Man, I almost wish I didn't play the demo. It left me really interested in the full game, which I can't afford. >_<
I'm definitely going to buy this when I have the money. Good job papillon!

I bought and finished the game last night in one sitting and got the ending I wanted on the first try. :) I'm sure I'll replay it to get more. It was a lot of fun!
