We're now on the front page of Indie DB, yes, we beat La-Mulana in popularity! (okay, only temporarily.)
I'm so used to the "and now... a sentient robot!" cliche that I didn't even think it was odd. Sentient robots always bother me in stories that expect me to accept them as people and not even consider that maybe they're just better at simulating people than I am at telling the difference. For these reasons the twist made me happy.
The art style was not typical anime fare and it was beautiful and worked very well. My big complaint is that I didn't like the protagonist. He seems lazy and whiny. "Ugh, I have too much school work. I have no time to do it. I'll buy a robot to do it for me. I have now placed the order and will go back to what I was doing: video games." In most games I want good things to happen to the character I play but I just didn't care about this one (didn't spoil my enjoyment of the ending though).
