Philosopher's War [Comedy/Educational... I guess?]

So... this VN was made for our school project in Philosophy last year. We were required to create (in any medium) a presentation to make learning about Philosophy fun and/or interesting for students. In the end, my group and I decided to create a VN
This is my very first and only VN I've completed. I did the arts and majority of the script... and just thought maybe... to share it here? XD
Since we had a deadline at that time, we kinda rushed it, so... yea... just giving the heads up ^^"
Summary: A woman (supposedly you) finds herself in a strange realm where she meets ancient philosophers like Plato, Thales and Heraclitus. Apparently, they want her to become their apprentice...
note: we originally intended to get out professor to play it, so yea... assume your position as a philosophy uni prof I guess?
Time: Very short. Less than 5 minutes.

You can also download here
PS. Don't try to use full screen mode, cause it crashes and stuff XD

I had Philosophy last semester, and I learned more from this than from my course ((:
I LOVE your art! And this WAS pretty funny ((: Poor Anaximenes. I had fun playing this, you know.
The music was perfect, kind of put me in the mood to play, haha. The "rushed" thing wasn't that evident, except that maybe the game wasn't customized and stuff. But I really liked it...
P.S. I really, really, really, really love your art.

Awww thanks~<3
Glad you learned stuffs from this
Anyway... if you notice, some of them have their body covered, and Thales' sprite practically looks static... we also planned on a longer story and the like... so, yes... it was rushed like that... ^^"

God, I laugh through the whole things (because their conversations are so funny

) )
You guys make me wonder, why in short 5 min, there are so many sprites (and they're all so beautiful.....so envious

).I like the way you lead the player from the beginning to the end. The story starts out of nowhere, but somehow I can't get eyes off it, and at the end, I was like....really? No more?

).
Love it!! Thank you for making it!

Well, we HAD to make it - for our grades
And since the goal of the VN was to teach philosophy, we had to insert as much philosophers as possible XD
Thanks though~

glad you enjoyed it

Shout out to the velvet room!... but isn't it under some kind of copyright claim or something?
not that i would know much about how that works
Content-wise, it was a pretty interesting short piece, and was nicely wrapped up in the end, so good job!

Also, wow the art is really nice! Sounds like a lot of fun to make a VN for a school project, I wish my school could do something fun like that.

Thanks~ maybe when you're told to do a presentation with no limits, you can try it out for school XD
I believe there's a law that states copyrighted materials can be used for educational purposes. plus, this is non-commercial anyway XD

I don't really know ^^"
Though if it doesn't, just tell me and I'll try to do something about it

//can't promise anything though since I didn't do the coding and stuff >_<

I've tried it~ To tell you the truth, I had hard times understanding it at first in some parts (as because; English is not my native language, and second; I have no idea about philosophy at all), but it's actually really funny how the story turns out xD

In that case, I hope you learned something
even just a little bit about philosophers and their philosophy then~
Like for example, how Thales believed that everything in the world is composed of water. This belief however, opposes Heraclitus who believed it to be fire, and Anaximenes who believed that it is air. Heraclitus also brings about the idea that nothing is constant in this world and everything changes. More were discussed... but I'm gonna stop here. Maybe, you'll end up in a philosophy class on of these days... at least this'd give a head start? XD
