HAPPY BACKWARDS PRESENTS!!!

Image

Characters
Yuiri Nakanishi
Image
Age: 26
Occupation: Office Lady

Takehiro Hamaura
Image
Age: 20
Occupation: Student / Part Time Worker

Genre
Slice-of-life?

Plot
Sometimes you need to do something a little out of the ordinary, a little out of your comfort zone.

Sometimes you need to talk to a stranger.

The game isn't meant to be exciting or filled with huge dramatic moments, it's meant to just show two people interacting. Two people who might not be so unlike yourself. It takes place in Osaka, Japan and is themed around karaoke and music.

Features
*2 Major Paths
*4 Endings
*A (hopefully) Interesting Extra

Bugs
There is one known bug where if you go into options from the Main Menu the 'Return' button will not work for some reason. We'll try and get that fixed when we're not rushed for time.

Thank you so much to anyone that plays. This game gave me a bit of a runaround.

Sounds interesting-- I gotta ask, is the title a reference to karaoke?

It certainly is XD. Karaoke is where our characters meet and it plays a big role in one of the paths. There are references to an actual orchestra in the other path, so it's got multiple reasons it's titled the way it is XD

In other words, I had too much fun with the translation of karaoke.

I really liked Yuiri's route (and I've got a good ending as well :)), Takehiro's (he has a nice smile by the way) route didn't go that well for some reason but I still enjoyed your game.

Gahaha That would have been an amusing sound effect to put in. All those super serious moments and then suddenly you here some beautiful singing from the room next door.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Super happy!

Yuiri's not as predictable as Takehiro... she'd be hard to befriend in real life, so it's harder to get Takehiro's good ending, I think.

Hi, this is the first time I provide feedback for a visual novel, so excuse my amateur review :P

I like that this novel provide both girl and boy route with different story developments instead of just girl and boy POV. I can totally relate to what Yuiri is experiencing so I really enjoyed her route. Incorporating real activities happening in Osaka especially the musicians in the park and the extras is a big plus for me who is interested in japan. I really like the details such as the age gap and the 2 years of both characters not talking to each other to show how people are always stuck in their comfort zone and their routine and that everybody regardless of age do face issues of their own. Overall the whole storyline really relate to me so I really enjoy this visual novel! Looking forward to more works of yours :)

A really nice story! (Although I must confess that I am having a hard time finding the second good ending) Oh, well, will try again . . . and again. Very interesting that the two of them are so alike in so many ways.
