Chelly - first of all, thanks for taking the time to play SC and give me feedback on it, its greatly appreciated! I've had a lot of people get annoyed with Jennifer since the game was released
and I even discovered a glitch which makes Jennifers Chapter 7 far easier to get than originally intended, which is perhaps why you ended up with said ending.
So I'll need to fix that when I find time to come back to v1.3.
The whole lack of choice thing you mentioned is something no one mentioned yet, and is definitely an interesting idea. As I've said earlier in the thread, like like v1.3 to be quite a large update with additional chapters and dialouge/choices, which may address the problems you've come across.
Having the route decided by the end of Chapter 5 was originally the plan. Frankly (and again, as I've said earlier in the thread) I got lazy near the end of production, which is perhaps why you feel the way you do. As you suggested, I was planning on fixing this with additional chapters/dialouge/choices.
TL;DR - I'm planning on adding a lot more content to v1.3 when I have time, which will hopefully fix everything you've mentioned.
Once again, thanks for sharing your thoughts :D

Thanks for the reply. It's exciting to hear you're still planning on releasing v1.3. I looked at the thread for your other game and I wasn't sure if you were even going to come back at all. I totally get that IRL stuff can push working on VNs for free way down on the priority list. I've sort of been on the same side of that lately.
My preference for many choice opportunities probably comes with my experiences in D&D. When I had time to play in campaigns, I played a rogue who was notorious for doing crazy reckless things the DM was not prepared for. Like using an enemy catapult as an escape device (our wizard could cast Feather Fall, so it was okay!). So I am used to jumping off the railroad more or less at-will. That's basically the environment that I'm coming from. I think I am an outlier among people who play VNs, since people who have played nothing but VNs have always been used to having finitely many opportunities for interaction.

@HalYac17-

Noticed the back and forth between you and Chelly; it rekindled my interest in Stillwater Creek, so I went back to it and went through a route or two. It reminded me that I am very fond of this game and enjoyed the time spent each time I played it. Generally I am not much in favor of redoes of a game, however in this case it might be nice to see some additional choices, with certain routes expanded (or routes created for characters where there were none before). The only point at which I am not quite in agreement with Chelly's comments regards the number of choices; a huge number is overwhelming, and detracts from the overall game, IMHO. Anyway, good to see you posting - now just what must we do to get you working hard on v1.3?

Personal opinion: the [Tragedy] or [Psychological] tag should be added because the story left a bad taste in my mouth.
