This is a very short VN (~3.4k words) about an unusual round of trick-or-treating.

Summary: You was just walking on the street minding your own business, but a strange boy suddenly shown up, forcing you into going for trick-or-treating. Little did you know, this outing was not as innocent as it seem.

Features:

-2 endings

-3 CG

This is a last minutes Halloween project I decided to make. As I started making it just three days before Halloween (and I’m still 1 day late), it was a pretty rush job so i hope the sloppy arts (especially the BGs) could be excuxed :? .

The writing is also not beta-ed. I had re-read several times and modified everything I could, but because I’m not native English speaker, these is probably still a lot of mistakes.

I hope you enjoy the game. Comments and feedbacks would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yay! Another game from you. Gonna try it out now and will give my thoughts once I'm done =)

Edit

So, I just played the game and
it was so sad :( . The ending kind of caught me off guard and I didn't think he was dead. Now even with it being sad, I also found the ending to be bitter sweet in a way. I like how Death was trying to help the boy discover who he was and gave him his dream of trick or treating :) . The writing for the game was good, but there were a few mistakes, nothing major though. I really liked the art, especially the backgrounds. They really gave me that Halloween feel. The music was also chosen well :) . Fit the mood perfectly depending on what scene I was in. My only gripe is not being able to see Death's face XD. Okay, not a gripe, but a part of me really wants to know what he looks like :shock: . Anyway, this was a very nice short game and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm excited to see what else you make in the near future. Good job and keep up the good work :)

@pocoscon

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the game and
I hope my summary wasn't too misleading. :P At first i just wanted to make a silly game about children trick or treating on monster but i find it's boring. I'm glad the writing work for you. I'm very horrible at first person writing, and not very fond of faceless protagonist, but it's the best way for this particular story. I find it easy to make a character unlikeable in first person ( I hope he wasn't :| ?). The background making of this game was very rushed, and I'm glad that it could be distingued at all :lol: Death was meant to not show his face,because it was more convenient to draw fast and I have a deadline to meet (and still missed it :lol: ) Joke aside, I thought Death's face is better concealed, because Death is the kind of character I feel should not have a particular specific looks

It was a nice game and it gave me a bittersweet feeling. Too bad it was too short. I hope you will work on something similar in the future! Good luck! :)

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I'm not sure if I would make a game with similar feels though, as generally my ideas are usually more light-hearted. I like story with some mystery elements thought, so some of that will probably be there. :D
