Aww, I just finished playing this, and it was such a cute game! The character sprites looked so nice, and I loved the colour palette, how it was so brown to fit the coffee theme. Though there was only one BG, it was perfectly fitting, and the GUI was also lovely o: Oh, and I liked how the hands of the clock turned as well.
I liked all the SFX of pouring coffee, it was soothing, and really added to the atmosphere. The music was also really good.
The interrogation style of gameplay was a lot of fun, I liked trying to figure out their secrets... The characters were all so cute, too! I even found the Earl cute, Speaking of the setting, I wonder when it is set...
Also the Jane Austen references haha XD

Oh my goodness! Thanks so much! It means a lot coming from someone like you!!

It is actually sort of pseudo Victorian/Steampunk. I wanted to cherry-pick the fun aspects (lords, ladies, maids, old fashioned views, steam powered machines, etc) and leave the horrible aspects behind (starvation, poverty, pollution, health problems, etc). The voice is more modern. It's a bit like, what if technology never progressed beyond steam power and what if we never had the world wars and the suffragette movement never got women the vote.

Mix that with tea and coffee, and you've got the current setting! I think I may have done a bit of a poor job signposting that though!!

Yay! I'm really happy to hear it! When I first asked people whether they wanted music in the game no one seemed to care but since I've put that in and sound effects, it's comments like yours that make me think it's all been worth it!

Hehe, quite a few people said they didn't know what to expect. I have to admit I'm not quite sure how to describe it best! Let me know if you want a walkthrough to unlock all the secrets! And endings? I'm not sure the endings are as important though because really it's only the happy ending that matters.

You can now play online to My Cup of Coffee on Sandbox Adventure.

The game is in full HTML5 so there is no need to download or install anything.
You can register if you want to save your game but you don't have to register to play.
