Escape from the Witch's Lair

#1 Post by Showsni »

Okay, you can't really call this a visual novel... Did anyone else play neopets? (http://www.neopets.com)
Anyway, they had an adventure creator game (in the style of a CYOA thing), and when I used to play (a long time ago) I made a game on it. This is that game transferred into Ren'Py. The original program was pretty limited, so no music, no pictures (except one!), and not much of a story.

It's a lot easier in Ren'Py because you have variables... Much better than making 64 different pages that are exactly the same, except for your inventory...

Er, this is more of a skeletal structure, not really a visual novel. It's okay if the structure resembles interactive fiction, but it has to feel finished, even with rough art. Are you planning to revamp this work soon?

Like I say, it's not so much a game as me seeing if I could cope with (pretty simple) Ren'Py commands. I shouldn't think I'll do anything with it. (Maybe I should have posted in a diferent section...)
