The Dummygame [Mystery - Point and cLick - Story]

#1 Post by realplej@gmail.com »

The Dummygame
The Dummygame
This game I made while learning Renpy. You can tell that as the game sort of evolves as you play longer into it. It is a mystery/point aqnd click/story game.

The game starts with a dummy that wakes up from a dream in a strange environment - can you help it to realise where it is and to escape?

Some stats:
The game contains 626 dialogue blocks, containing 4,574 words and 22,571
characters, 37 menus, 169 images, and 12 screens.

Hope you enjoy if you choose to play!

Played your game. It was very interesting.
A few English grammar and spelling errors to watch out for.
I really liked the animations, especially the ocean/fish ones, could tell you had a lot of fun making them.

I played your game on screenshare with a friend, and it was an interesting experience!
The entire game had a very dream-like quality to it, kind of like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The animations were fun to watch--especially all the fish--and it looks like you had a lot of fun making them, too.
Congrats on your first game!

Hi,

I just PM:ed you a clue, so I don't post spoilers here - this one is kind of crucial to the game ;)

If more people have problems I will off course help you out!

Glad you tried the game out anyway - and hope it didn't get too frustrating :)

Eventually I will post a game update with music and sound, more generous clues in the code room and some language polishing

//Fred

PS
(I recently also posted my first KNs with some elements reused in the Dummygame - A space Noir Saga - check it out if you like:

I like this kind of games so I enjoyed the Dummygame. I won't say it was easy to solve it...)) The dream-like atmosphere was well made and the art style was quite unique. You put a great effort in making all that animations. Thanks for creating this game and good luck with new projects. :wink:

Thanks a lot, Alex, for your encouraging words. Yes there was a lot of work with animations, phew. I'm glad you appreciated that :) anyway, your response give me new inspiration and energy to go ahead with a new project :)!

Best,

//Fred
