@doodle - Thank you so much for playing!

I'm really glad the game could help get you back into VNs after a break. It's always nice to find a visual novel in the genre or theme you love, so it's great to hear I helped with that!
(Stanton is my favourite too. I know, I know, I shouldn't have favourites, but I can't help it
)
The game I'm doing next will have a very different feel to The Lady's Choice, and it won't be historical. I think it's always good to take a break after being in one setting or genre for a while! So, I'll be moving onto something different, though I am pleased with how it's going (don't want to say too much yet).
I'll be announcing it in the New Year, so I really hope it's something you'll be interested in

@procutemeister - I've had a couple of people mention the sexual tension between Amesbury and the MC specifically, so I'm really glad that came across!

It's hard to give the feeling of the intensity between people, but still keep within the bounds of the time setting (even if I was far from keeping strictly to the manners of the time!)
Thank you so much for commenting and playing. I'm glad it made a good early Christmas present!

@Kirlett - I haven't actually heard many people say they've played the headstrong MC, so it's good to know you did at some point

But yeah, Amesbury's personality is quite forward-natured, so pairing him with a sweet/genial MC certainly makes for some good blushing moments! His roguish nature really lent itself to a bit of teasing.
--
@Mammon - The witty MC was definitely one of my favourite personalities to write, and she did play more off of Amesbury at times. Each of the love interests had a 'favoured' personality, and surprisingly for Amesbury it was headstrong

But, I worked my hardest to ensure that playing as all personalities still meant you had a fulfilling and fun romance. The 'favoured' personality hardly came into play at all, just in small moments.
I didn't think Mr Montfort would be as popular as he has been. Though I did try to make him handsome (because, well, if I have to spend aggges drawing a sprite, I might as well make them attractive to look at, right?

), his character wasn't the best. If he loved the MC, his morals were very weak. He loves Amesbury like a brother, but still thinks he can win the girl his best friend is in love with? Rich, egotism at its finest!
Then, if he dislikes the MC, again, egotism comes into play because he thinks he knows what's best.
Montfort isn't a
bad guy, he's just grown up being the top of his food-chain, and has no real idea of how the world and people actually work. Amesbury is the same, though his relationship with the MC helps to realise his rather selfish ideas can affect those around him.
If I was going to do a Montfort route (which I'm not, don't want to get hopes up

) I think it would have to be with a different MC entirely.
Wow, sorry about the essay of a reply

I get kinda passionate when I start talking little details and characters. It's exciting!
Thank you so much for playing and for leaving your comment. It's great you enjoyed it and noticed the smaller things.
(And, thanks for picking up on the error. Arabella and Amesbury had very, very similar name tags, I'm surprised it hadn't happened before!)

@Looru- I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. It's such a major boost to my confidence to know people enjoy it

Hope you enjoy Amesbury's route just as much!

Thank you so much for the encouraging comments and support for The Lady's Choice. You have no idea how much it means to me
I'll be going on a Christmas break for a couple of weeks, so may not respond to comments very quickly (apologies for that!). I'll be fully back on
January 3rd though, with an announcement for a new visual novel not long after that
