Dear Mariko is a short, simple game about a girl who comes home to find a goodbye letter from her beloved. Suddenly, the doorknob starts rattling...
***
A year ago, I made a very short game called
Dear Mariko, with amateur artwork, 10 minutes of gameplay and 3 endings. Now, I've released a brand new edition called Dear Mariko: Crimson with polished artwork, and an epilogue with 4 more endings. If you guys would check it out, that would be wonderful!
Here's where you can download the new version:
https://coren.itch.io/dear-mariko
Thanks guys!
The Free version includes:
* The full main story
* 3 endings
* 3 CGs
The Crimson version ($0.50 or more) includes:
* Brand new character and CG art
* An additional epilogue
* Double the gameplay
* 7 endings

Ahh, unfortunately I have a Mac computer. *sighs* I loved RE: Prince of Nigeria, so I was excited when I saw something from you in the completed section.
Ah, well, maybe I can convince someone to let me borrow their PC for a while. cx

Heya!

I'm not sure how to port the game to Mac myself personally, but you can check out
http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/ which is a program that can play Windows games on Mac, and I've heard it works for games made with Dear Mariko's engine!
Glad to hear you enjoyed RE: Prince of Nigeria haha! It's my personal favorite work because I just can't be serious

I didn't play Dear Mariko the first time when it's out although I did try Crimson.
Overall presentation was nice.
Minor gripe on the GUI for the yes/no prompt from the beginning, no highlighted indication.

For the epilogue, I've found 3 endings.
Bad Ending II | Normal Ending | True Ending
Bad End II did left me surprised. Any hint for the remaining ending? ^^;
Edit: There's a Brazilian Portuguese translation of the original version at:

Translator is Leonardo Andrade.

Is your character Mariko based off the Mariko from Elfen Lied...?
