Re: Flower Rabbit
I just downloaded the game, and I've just started playing... What a first impression! Already the title music's charmed me (though maybe I'm a sucker for this kind of music), and it looks very beautiful so far... Even the click-to-continue indicator (the bouncing ball making ripples) is pretty! My biggest gripe about this game is that I can't change the text speed (it's too slow).
The translation is pretty good so far, though seeing "prologue" instead of "start" threw me off a little bit.I'll edit this post as I go through the game.
Just finished the game. I enjoyed it overall, but it was not without it's flaws:

> I've mentioned it before, but I really think the slow text speed was a problem. It seems to me the only reason the game should take an hour is because of the text speed...
> ...Where's Yuki's body? How did she die?
> I couldn't really connect with Old Man... He wasn't deep enough for me.
> This isn't a flaw actually, but... What is milk ice candy? Do you mean ice cream (アイスクリーム)? Mochi ice cream? :drools:

Re: Flower Rabbit
Congratulations on a game made.
What I like.
Oh, and one thing, these are ice candies.
What I like.
- Overall effect. From the sun rays effect to the clock put in Option.
- It is a story that I enjoy. How Yuki struggled in a loop(To get her grandfather an ice candy) even when she turned a spirit. And how "old man" managed to save her from the cursed loop.
- The arts included are nice(Although it is a shame that I cannot view them without the text block.)
What griped on me:

- Minor typos here and there due to the translation. However, they are not enough to ruin any experience.
- The menu takes sometimes to adapt with. I expected more toggling with the Effect tab, and the Skip button is too fast for my liking.
That said, it is certainly interesting enough to see a game that is not done with a program known(Onscripter, Ren'Py, Blade, etc). I will certainly look forward to any further translation.- The menu takes sometimes to adapt with. I expected more toggling with the Effect tab, and the Skip button is too fast for my liking.

Oh, so they're synonymous to the otter pops they sell in the US! I see...
I hope to see more English-translated games coming DD-Host.

Thank you for your comments.
It is necessary to study English to me.
I want to devote myself for the system.
This is the first attempt, and I am experience shortage.
However, I want to come to be able to make good kinetic-novels from your opinions.

Here's to experience gaining! Kampai!
Just a note: In English, "prologue" means something like "introduction," not "begin" or "start." And also...

I don't think I understand why the title of the game has "Rabbit" in it. Is it a cultural thing, where rabbits are often featured in stories like this? Or maybe I missed something...

Re: Flower Rabbit
I want to correct the prologue to an appropriate word. Thank you.
I think that the rabbit is a simile that shows Yuki.
Perhaps, Yuki is not a girl but, a thing like the fairy of the flower.
Maybe, the author is comparing her to the rabbit that is a white animal.
Therefore, a genuine rabbit doesn't appear in sentences.

Re: Flower Rabbit
It was very good, and a little creepy...but good!
The translation was nice, except for a few mistakes every once in awhile. You can't really call most of them mistakes anyway, some lines just sounded a little awkward.
EDIT: Also, that's right. A "prologue" is an optional section before a story. A little like an introduction, but not quite.

Re: Flower Rabbit
Thank you for pointing it out.
I corrected the part of "Prologue" to "Start".
The file the link above ahead is replaced with the corrected one.

Re: Flower Rabbit
When I downloaded the game from the first post and unzipped it, the folder says that "access is denied" and it doesn't let me open or move it. I'm running Windows XP. I know it sounds like it's a problem with my computer's settings, but all other folders seem to be working perfectly, so I have no idea what the problem is. Any ideas? If you can think of a reason as to why this might be happening it'd be greatly appreciated, because I'd certainly like to check out the game :P

Re: Flower Rabbit
mmm, could it possibly be that you have the folder or something set as "Read Only"? Try unchecking that and see if it works. Sometimes weird stuff happens in the Windows realm. I'll get someone with a Mac to try the game.ETERNAL wrote:When I downloaded the game from the first post and unzipped it, the folder says that "access is denied" and it doesn't let me open or move it. For mfright/Furaito> Nice use of flash! (just tried the first scene and examined the menu design) Going to read it soon and offer proper feedback when I finish.

I keep un-checking "Read Only" and applying it, but the setting doesn't seem to want to stay. Strange. This is one of the few times I wish I had a Mac...AlphaProspector wrote:mmm, could it possibly be that you have the folder or something set as "Read Only"? Try unchecking that and see if it works.
