A Foretold Affair has gotten an update as of January 30th, 2019! It's also 40% Off until February 6th.

There’s script improvements, a new CG for each LI, and, most excitingly, we’ve added partial voice acting! If you’ve been waiting for a good time to try AFA, this is it.

If you've played the game before, this update won't impact your progress or save files in any way.

I think this looks really good! I want to buy it, but want to play the demo first. Unfortunately, whenever I try to download it to windows, it stops midway and says "Failed - forbidden". Do you know how I could possibly solve this? :/

Okay, I got it to work and played the demo and then purchased the game, but now the same thing is happening when I try to download the full game It just says "Failed - Forbidden". Sometimes also "Network Error", but my internet works just fine. I don't know what to do....

We're sorry for the trouble. A backer reported the same type of thing happening and it turned out to be a problem with Itch. Since you bought the game you have the option to use Itch's alternate download mode. I'm not sure if that can be use to download demos, but you already got that. Either way, using that method worked for the backer, hopefully it'll work for you too!

This is a well-written story with quite realistic characters and reactions. Too bad the romance part wasn't the passionate one, but having a kinda somber romance is good too.

I also played this in one sitting and at the end I was kinda delirious from sleep deprival, I need to replay this once more time Ah, January is so beautiful~~~

It's okay - before I saw this answer, I tried just downloading it over and over and eventually it worked xD I stayed up almost all night playing it. I love the art and the writing a lot! The story was intriguing. In most VN's, if you pursue a love interest, you can mess up and maybe even get a game over if you don't pick the right options, but this wasn't the case here and I loved that. I loved all the awkward and tense moments between the characters, it felt very realistic, and how each of them developed so much until the end. Usually I like it more when we are able to create the MC's ourselves (because it opens up for so much creativity), but I absolutely adore Buffalo Seer. My favorite main character with a set personality by far in any VN! I loved how flawed they are, and how they change. I'd really hope for a sequel set in the same world, because it seemed like there were still a lot to explore there.

I really want to play this I still remember it from the demo I played. But I dont have the money for it right now. Which sucks because I want to play this right now. I just have to wait patiently until I can play it. :3

Haha, yeah. The game isn't much of a whirlwind romance. But I'm glad you enjoyed it, even if a more low key relationship style isn't exactly what you would've preferred.

I hope you got some rest afterwards . And I must agree, January's quite a doll~

That's a relief. It's great you were able to get it to go. Wow, it's fantastic you enjoyed so many aspects of the game . It's super flattering that Seer is your favorite defined MC. I thought the game was good, but I honestly wasn't counting on it being anyone's favorite anything :'D.

As for a sequel game, we're undecided about that right now. It would certainly be cool, but we have quite a few new projects lined up already for the coming years so we don't know when we'd be able to fit it in >>. I suppose we'll just have to see if the opportunity presents itself C:
