Congrats on the release and the updates. Keep up the great work, you def have a reader in me.
I've been looking for a satisfying and fun otome..to no effect. I think i' might be a dinosaur but all the otomes that seem to be so popular just aren't worth their salt in my books. And now this game came and it's a surprise. I think it puts back the fun to a genre which has been, to my mind, in something of a decline for a while. and can I just say, I absolutely LOVE the main theme song. It has the perfect mood and lyrics are lovely.
- Longer stories, take time to get into characters and develop tensions and nuanes
- Meaningful POVs - not fillers, the POV actually add important bits
- Bad ends actually ARE bad.
- Mc with a backbone, backstory and integrity
- Characters are loved and respected by the writers - and there are many to look forward to!
- It's josei.
- immersive plots, more complex stories and a potential overarching - and intrguing- story to be pieced together
- a variety of characters who are distinct. Out of the two released so far, hajime is my winner with a great plot and character backstory and evolution. I am eyeing several future characters.
Of the two routes, Ryosei is a flirt and you can expect flirting a lot of the time, in fact he's on to the MC most of the time but plotwise I found his story a little forgettable. Hajime's story is easily memorable plotwise. I found it unputdownable. There are things you may need to decide whether they bother you or not but it is very rewarding and for me utterly engrossing from start to finish- to read that route. Boy, did he deliver a surprise! I expected him to be a boring ojisan type (and he is certainly introduced that way, eh?) but he was much more than that. And it worked well. Plot on this one was very engrossing, His POV is sure to be very rewarding so I will look forward to that. He's a great character for me. I will reread this more because I relish the love hajime has.
For me, Visual novels with romantic storylines are kinda meh these days for various reasons. I feel like they've kinda started going downill a while back and I've had difficulties finding something fun, satisfying and actually worth the time to read.
Well, this game isn't of the sort. It's of the sort that puts the fun back to visual novels in the otome genre. There is a strong storytelling focus but you can expect smut in secret ends if you like. It isn't just any cheap smut, either but most of all, the smut is not an obligatory part, it's not just shoved down your throat. I am endlessly tired of the games where this is forced on me and most of the times the storytelling and getting to know characters is sacrificed for it, I am very tired of that. And this is not what this game does. It restores some of the balance these games have started lacking.
Excellent and much need breath of fresh air that crafts stories carefully and more responsibly than a lot i've seen in current otome trends. The lines are not inserted randomly, there is responsibility and thought behind every thought and action of the characters. And this is just the beginning. I feel like this otome app will only get better over time and i look forward to exploring all it will have to offer. Finally, a game for me.
I really look forward to reading the rest. I don't have a particularl character that I am hankering for, either. They all seem potentially narrative-heavy and important for the overall story, I am VERy interested in how each and eveyr of their love lines will pan out. They all look ridiculously good and promising. Keep it up, Delusional!
