After "We just need to see the orb", the game just freezes, even though the mouse works. I had to force quit on a Mac.
This was with the forum-downloaded version -- is the website version any different?

No the site versions are the same. Seems like the mac version is bust... anyone try the one for linux?

I'll have to try and somehow sort it out this weekend :S

I have a hunch its an OpenGL bug in renpy itself. Mac uses OpenGL extensively, and Vista is known to be buggy with that. It's assumed that the majority running on WinXP would not experience this?

What kind of special effects if any are there in that story portion?

Two things:

- Firstly, Ren'Py doesn't use OpenGL, so it's pretty unlikely to be an OpenGL bug in Ren'Py. There are plenty of ways you can get Ren'Py to crash, freeze, grind to a halt or run out of memory by doing more-than-basic graphics operations, but none of them involve OpenGL at all, at least not directly.

- Secondly, Vista is known to be buggy with OpenGL? It's the first I've heard of it (and I've been using Vista for a couple of years now, including occasional admittedly-not-amazingly-complex coding in OpenGL), and I'd be interested to know your sources. But also I'm pretty sceptical - it's the graphics card driver/card itself which is actually responsible for all that, so it's far more likely to be that some manufacturer's Vista driver is crappy. I'm pretty sure Vista doesn't contain an OpenGL ICD by default.

I don't know why but the windows download stops at 13 % although I tried twice o.o
I really would like to play it T_T

I just tried running the game on my old Win XP comp,it still crashes, so no it hasn't anything to do with that =\

Ok, it seems that the mac version crashes when the game is trying to use "hpunch" and then play a sound effect (.wav). Maybe it's the sound effect that's messing something up?

This is hard to me to test... if anyone out there with a mac and renpy skill are willing to help me out on fixing this, then they are more than welcome!
If all else fails then I can try and remove the sound effect completely and see if that makes everything better.

Try downloading it from the website instead. Or if that was what you were, try the forum version ^^;

Well, it happens with Windows version (Vista at least) too... I think it's not just Mac.
I hope that problem will be solved, I absolutely love this game =)

I don't think so. It works fine for me (winXP as well).

It's a good game thus far, but I'm having the same problem as DaFool on Windows vista. As soon as I hit that line the game just crashes.

Uploaded a new version (1.1) to both the website and the first post here. The sound file is completely removed in this version, and hopefully that solves the problem with Tia's path.

I would appreciate it if someone who had this problem would try it out and tell me how it goes :)

A very compelling adventure story... I especially like the fact that you, as a player, don't know all about the situation of the protagonist from the start and only learn it later in the game when the protagonist reveals it to other people. A nice catch that increases suspense!

What I didn't like is the "one sentence per click" style in the NVL parts. If you go for NVL style, you needn't hesitate to go for longer passages of text - they are much easier to read that way and much more "literary."
