"Sailor Moon Dating Simulator 4" is the fourth game in the SMDS series, centered around Rei Hino. The goal of the game is to win love of Rei Hino by asking her out on dates, giving gifts and playing mini-games with her. You have 15 days with one possible date (or other action) per day. Answers selected during dialogues on dates will eventually affect Rei's feelings (i.e., "correct" answers will raise "intimacy level" and "wrong" answers will reduce it). You can go shopping for gifts any time during the game. Once you have a gift, you can give it to Rei during any date. Day 16 is the last one, the ending depends on your actions.
The game has four possible endings. If you get the best ending you'll receive a love letter from Rei (instead of a regular letter which means you failed to win her love) asking you for a date.

Well, my first comment is this: the puzzles are completely unforgiving.
A D-rating for not putting it together in 60 seconds is...insane, at least from my perspective.

True, that's one of the things that hurt me when I am trying to play through it. I would enjoy them more if they were easier for it always makes it impossible for me to win; on all the games.

You know, I sometimes still do that.

This Act 1 portion is what hooked me on VNs, so I like to promote them.

When a friend of mine was testing the game, they suggested to make time requirements for grades in the mini-game yet more strict, since they believed it was too easy the way it's now.
I guess it just requires some training. It would be no fun if everyone could beat the game from the first or the second attempt, right?

Hm. The problem is really that you're trying to please everyone, I think.
You're trying to appeal to VN players and dedicated puzzle gamers, and not all of us are both. Your friend's probably a master of this kind of puzzle, which I can guarantee is not the majority of dating simmers.
So I think you probably need to pick one way to go. Just my thought.

Then how about adding some difficulty option (easy, normal, hard). Obviously, the easier the difficulty is, more time is given to player.

I didn't like the puzzle bit - couldn't manage to get the good ending thanks to that.
So, um...
Well, it seemed like a good game, but maybe it could be possible to make something easier, or something?
Just an idea, of course...

I always the Sailor Moon Simulator games were really hard to beat.
But can someone tell me the name of the song in the beginning before you start to play? Thanks!

I liked the one with Venus. I'm going to try to get this one too. Thanks for making this.

Really good choice in music there
I'd suggest using "Casual", "Normal", and "Hardcore" as the difficulty titles if you do decide to use difficulty levels too but really cool stuff!
