Vera Blanc is a mystery / detective game. Take on the role of Vera Blanc, a young and beautiful woman with an extraordinary power: the ability to read other people's minds!
Daughter of Emmanuel Blanc, one of the richest people on Earth, she left her life of luxury to use her powers to work alongside paranormal detective Brandon Mackey.
In this first episode, our heroine travels to a mysterious town in Germany deep in the Black Forest. A serial killer is on the loose, and all leads point to a werewolf as the culprit!
The game plays like a visual novel / adventure game with several different paths to solve the mystery, and a collection of challenging minigames.
Featuring innovative comic-style art, with over 200 unique panels, Vera Blanc immerses you in the world of the supernatural as you play the detective!

I bought it two days ago - however, I didn't play it yet. I guess I'll give it a spin tomorrow.

Played the demo. Easily the best game you've made so far. Not my type of graphics, but the story, characters and the game play are more than enough to make me like it. I will save up some money and buy it soon~ ^^

P.S: You sure Vera and Brandon aren't going to have romance? They are like the cutest pair you've ever made. XD

Thanks I think is one of my best games as for story and characters too. About the art, I understand about the tastes (I was expecting it), however I was pleasantly surprised that some other people who played the game (sake-bento, hanako and littleramyun) said that was cool, the right one for that kind of game involving some "horror" element.

About the romance between them, in the 2nd episode there will be already some more steps towards it... if the game does well, in the 3rd (if I get to make it haha) there would be some very cool romance between them in a particular way. Take a look at the screen from the next game (is a different artist):

To be honest, I'm in two minds about buying this... I played the demo, and I really enjoyed the mini games, in particular thoughts reading game, but I wasn't so fond of the quantity of fan-service (I don't know how to better describe it, forgive me) feeling a lot of the drawings had. I instantly fell in love with the first illustration you showed of Vera and Brandon walking hand in hand and with the idea of having this kind of style and story together, but I'd really tone down the nightgown and shower appearances and the emphasis on the females' curves.

The story and dialogues felt a bit simple, too, at times, which for this kind of game can be a problem. I might try it again later, who knows...

I understand what you mean, I don't know if you played my other games (Summer Session, Heileen, Bionic Heart) but they have more "fanservice" than this one

I really like the style of this game. It reminds me a lot of the Nancy Drew Dossier games which I adore and it really suits this kind of story, more than I think manga/anime style would have.

The mystery really intrigues me as well and when I get money, buying this will be on a list of my priorities. And I enjoy the minigame as well

I just started playing it, and I found a rather big plot hole:

Even though I disarmed the bomb, the local news talk about a train accident where an explosion destroyed one compartment. Since I disarmed the bomb, that shouldn't have happened.

I'll review it fully when I'm finished.

Yes the game is quite long, considering also the 2 endings (and if you care to see all the various ways Vera can have a "bad" ending haha). I recently changed the demo buynow texts because I didn't want people to have the impression that the game was short.

I really played through the demo and just couldn't stop... well, only to buy the full game ! I like the Holmes / X-files feeling about this, the mini-games are delightful, the bad endings breathtaking, and the comic book style is perfectly appropriate. Something really worth reading from the first to the last word without falling asleep waiting for the characters to stop talking about their own little self for ages Thanks for this new masterpiece !

Yes, you'll meet them again and discover more, but not the whole truth (though if you know a bit of mythology shouldn't be impossible to guess what is about).
