Hmm... played it for a little while... the mood is really good, I must say. I played two endings (1 and 4), and so far, the only thing that I don't really like is the fact that your decisions only seem to have little effect on the plot. When you decide not to take Yuki with you on the rainy day, at the beginning of the next chapter the text will still say that you're now taking her with you almost regularly. Also, once you're together with her, whether the phone call you receive is a dream or not is decided by whether you asked her out after the elevator incident. I don't really like games where the difference between life and death is decided by a decision like whether to sweep the floor or to mop the floor.

LOL, so far I got two bad endings (ending 1 and 3). I like the mood of the game. You kept it reasonably small. Great job .
IMO When you talk to Yuki she should not disappear from the screen. I'd rather hide Yuki only when the player finished talking to her (she goes away). One or two midi songs would greatly improve the overall effect.

I now have endings 1, 2, 4 and 5, and my main complaint is that endings 1 and 5 are too much alike, plus a few more choices affect the plot in a way they shouldn't. A nice experiment in style, but too little variation for my taste.

Thanks for all your comments, I am glad you liked it anyway. I have to give right to Taleweaver, you see originally I planned for it to be just a simple story with two choices. It retains some of the original characteristics, like the inflexible plot. Maybe think of it as a visual novel that you can influence a bit.
If you want a small idea of the nature of the choices, here goes: If you choose the love paths, you will get the "predestined" ending, as it is with all other choices. The key to defeating the fate is balancing the relationship. Though admittedly there's no room for making it transparent to the player. Well, it's my first game, so...
There is a simple walkthrough pattern, if someone wants it, I can send it via PM. From the 14 possibilities, 6 are the good endings. The rest is more or less the same, so there is also only 1 bad ending per se.
Many thanks to Grey for hosting it, I have already arranged for my site to be relocated, so hopefully I will be able to host it myself soon. Thanks again.
Blue Lemma> Well, nothing would be accomplished without Tip No.1. It really works.

Heya..I'm guessing I must be one of the latest people to play Black Pencil, but I must say it is such a great game! Not only are the backgrounds amazingly detailed and accurate, the game isn't too unrealistic either; Yuki's facial expressions, though the pictures are lacking in variety, are really suited to the dialog and you really portray the emotions in great accuracy, Bravo Bravo!
If only the game was expanded on, and had more options with a save capability ah... but really the plot and dialogue is so touching, don't know how to describe it but it leaves you with a sort of feeling of discontinuity in your heart, you just don't want the story to end...kinda like how I felt after watching Vash The Stampede
But seriously though, VERY DAMN GOOD GAME! Eagerly awaiting more games from you mikey, and just wondering, how do you get ending 3? I've managed to get 1,2,4,5....is ending 3 a good or bad one?
