Cafe upgrade

#1 Post by Black_Saber »

Thanks to Showsni's help last year in http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... =11&t=7622 , I'm able to make my own cafe minigame with of course, majority of Showsni's code still around all over, but overall, the rest are a taken from various place here and there and edited as necessary.

The different :
1. Removing the use of keyboard, and stick with mouse click.
2. Removing the counter and add the analog clock while every interaction will spent your time
3. Implement the use of ui.frame and ui.imagebutton
4. Removing the time when you need to remember the foods, because I still cannot make it to work in this new system

Next Plan :
1. Using actual time (http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... f=8&t=7257) to make the foods appears and disappears or to jump to another event automatically like http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... f=8&t=8838
2. Make a standalone system for this cafe minigame just like Jake's Battle Engine, maybe? But still need a lot of practice so I can only do like this for now.
3. To make the ui.imagebutton reacts with actual time like http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... f=8&t=8883
4. Making a difficulty which is much more complex when you choose hard
5. To make this much more cool and better!
6. To learn renpy and python from all of you!

*forgot to add*
Credit :
1. Showsni for his code and advice
2. Aleema for helping me with overlay
3. KimiYoriBaka for helping my ui.frame and ui.imagebutton
4. Mugenjohncel (did i spell his nick right?) for the analog clock
5. herenvardo for giving an example of condition switch, which I use before finally stick with this

Yes, I know it's lame and not really good, the code are all rough with comment here and there, not really a minigame you wanted to have, but this is the peak of my knowledge of renpy right now. Yep, I did underlined that 2 words, in order to remember myself in the future.

Thanks to everyone who answered my question, and Pytom who gives me a lecture about academic honesty that makes me like a sword just stabs my back :), really, Thank you very much. Will be waiting for a critics, good or bad response, and maybe a way to improve my code or my knowledge better.

Regards, B_S

p.s: now I need to translate my half-done story from Indonesia to English and put it together with this..

"*cackle*cackle*! In short, it's all about cleverly using the gaps between jobs to play. If it goes too far, it can turn to laziness. However, people only become mature when they learn to balance work with pleasure. Simply put, if all you care about is work all the time, you're not fully mature." - Gaap (Umineko no Naku Koro ni)
