I think the case here is someone used to making [good] experimental works with a passion confronted with something commercial, and her writing methodology just changes.

Ehem, anyways, I've been stalking this thread and I'd like to point out the obvious- Don't hire a writer to write something they don't like! I know you probably hired her for her well-liked talents, but it's just not the best work if the writer doesn't have interest in the subject...

Trust me, I wanted to buy a lot more but dad freaked and said I could only have three for now. (see....I have a lot of money right now but dad's all "geeze you don't have to buy everything in one day" or whatever...hahaha)
Man, I want all the commercial indie english language games. ALL OF THEM. ESPECIALLY THE OTOME ONES. And a bunch of other games...(sigh I am way too addicted to games)
