Haha cool! I think one of the weak points (and I take the blame since I'm the game designer) was not having an improved tutorial. I suppose you had problem understanding the "aggro" system, right?

And thanks for the compliments I am doing the expansion in next months with some (minor) gameplay changes, 2 new CGs/romance and a new strategy map that I hope will give the game an interesting extra strategy gameplay.

(and I should show your comments to those who says the game plot is boring haha)

Just finished my first playthrough of this game. It's definitely different from most of the stuff on here and I'm surprised you were able to make a decent RPG in Ren'py.

But man do I wish Psionics had an ability to raise accuracy/lower enemy accuracy. I picked guardian for my first playthrough and between my guy and Michelle I was constantly missing. It'd also be nice to be able to use the Psionic heal outside of battle. And what, no Phillipp romance path?

I like the aggro system, it's not something I've seen before in an RPG and it ensures that your fragile folks will only likely go down to those TPK-level target-all attacks towards the very end of the game. Plus there was a nice enough selection of armor that you could have at least one brick wall in your party.

I'm doing another run with ladysniper this time and will probably give more thoughts after this. So far I have to say this is the best Winter Wolves game I've played, writing and gameplaywise.
Forever Alone: Nerds the Gathering - A brotome game. (Nerdy Valentine's Day Card and small status update 2/14/14)
Night at the Hospital - Maiden voyage of Team Snugglebunny
Skylessia: Tale of the Boon - Epic fantasy whatsit, currently on hiatus.
Viking Pipsqueak Productions Blog (under construction)

I occasionally frequently draw other people's characters. Now offering delinquentization, medievalization, and cyborgification. Hit me up in PM if you want sprites for your KN or non-ren'ai VN.

EVEN IF THE TENDONS OF MY THUMBS TEAR INTO NOTHINGNESS, EVEN IF I GO NEARSIGHTED FROM STARING TOO HARD AT THE SCREEN, EVEN IF MY BODY IS CLOSE TO COLLAPSE FROM THE 72 HOURS I HAVE GONE WITHOUT FOOD! I WILL DEFEAT YOU!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm working right now on the expansion, which originally was a simple add-on, but is very likely to become a stand-alone spin off (it seems that I really can't force myself to make short/small games).
I'm probably going to post an early Alpha later this month since I'd like users feedback because I'm changing quite some things in the expansions, and also characters starts at level 20/25 so have much more HP and miss less. Ironically I tried a few matches and the game seems even more fun now than in the original game :D (or maybe more balanced now than before, don't know)

Haha yeah, that was it. The strategy guide helped me out tons (I was trying to hold off using it but gave into temptation pretty quickly. The bonus weapons were great, thanks for that!)

I don't know if this is the spot to ask--but can I have an update about the expansion pack for Planet Stronghold? Will it be out within the year? Is it going to be a continuation of the characters in the original or will we get new people to play with? Will it also cost the same as PS? (Sorry to ask this far ahead, but I'd like to start setting aside some money for this, Bionic Heart 2, and probably more of your future games :3)

Thanks, I am working on the update already which was mostly on hold because I needed the artist to do more CGs: Prince Cliff and Lisa and Queen Shiler and Joshua... 8)
She seems working at fullspeed now, so I think I could have all art ready in a month or so, and meanwhile go on with the game. Actually it's not anymore "an expansion" but a full length game, even if probably will be a bit shorter than the original, I am not sure yet.
As for price it will be either $19.99 or $24.99 depending how much content there will be. I have redesigned the Psionic powers completely, so now you have AOE (area of effect) and target all enemies/friendly which makes battle more interesting :)
On the story-side, it will continue the plot of the first game, even if you won't be able to import character, you can answer a series of question at the beginning that will ask you things like "did you side with the King or Queen Shiler" and so on.

Lastly some screenshots of the new battle/UI/backgrounds:

as for release date, depends on all the other various projects but I really think will be out before end of the year!

I just uploaded version 1.2c which gives +25HP and +10PP on startup to each character in easy mode. Is fun how such a "simple" bonus can make battles much easier. I think now the easy mode is really easy, I was able to go to chapter3 without losing a single hero in battle (and I was playing quickly skipping all the battle messages, so not using any advanced strategy).

I really love this game and got very addicted, but I must say the Warui Sentinels fights were really too difficult and a bit tiring, especially in the last parts, even in easy mode and after having earned all the available experience and equipped the best items I had found... The beginning was very easy as it was, but that really felt frustrating

Hmm in my forums some users even say is too easy using the Shock Psionic. I think really depends on how you use your psionic class members. If you keep the aggro on a Soldier (main tank) and just use items/Heal on him/her, you should be able to win most battles! The sequel though will be much easier even on this aspect since you'll have area of effect and more HP on start up :)
Also the first game assumed it was normal to get some of your party member "KO", but that's what pissed off most people I think. In the sequel I removed the restore psionic completely since having a party member KO will be much harder (you won't need to continuously restore/resurrect them).
Slowly learning to making RPGs that everyone can enjoy, both newbies/casual players and RPG hardcore/fans

No, that's my mistake, seems I didn't raise the right and useful stats enough... I guess I'll be better at improving my gardening skills soon

 my god, there's already a Gamefaqs page for that one ! http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/629220-the-f ... brook/data

I was playing the game and really enjoying it.
But... an error really pissed me off. Hope you fix the error.

Well I looked at source where is that bug, however I don't understand HOW you managed to get it!? It's early in the game, and nobody else reported it so you must have done something very different (otherwise I would have got lots of emails about this, since happens even before the demo ends)!
Do you remember what you did? did you kill the rebels ?

I saved the king and queen. Then the team was divided. I chose Rumi and Michelle.
I won the fight and then was going to meet the other team.
Philip was asking for help. Instead of the battle, this error was what I was shown.
