Re: Twitter
@ Auro-Cyanide: Yup, blogs are more useful especially when you have content to share. For me, I'd use the twitter function only to say that I have made a new blog post and all that. xD It's more like news or sending a message to someone. xD
I do admit though, that when you have lots of followers who want to send you a message, it must be a hassle to try and answer every single one without missing someone! xD
Edit: Yup, what Snowflower said. xD

Re: Twitter
See, I don't even have the internet on my phone. Well, I think I do, but I don't really know how it works and I'm not going to pay for it anyway. Do people pay much attention to it? I know I don't really have that much interesting stuff to say to actually warrant telling people about it. And I don't think I would have the attention span to keep up with what many people are doing, I'm usually busy with my own stuff... Don't mind me, I'll just return to the dark ages where I belong.

Well, it's kind of like Facebook (Do you have fb?) where you can communicate fast when people are also online.

Re: Twitter
Yeah, I do. And I dislike it immensely. Well, that isn't completely true. I just avoid it at all costs. I only go on when I get an email to tell me that someone has done something to me. And now I wonder how I even manage to have friends. I beckon thou, pray tell me the way to the 21st century?

Although really, I only post up Echo Bazaar stuff and random weird tidbits from my hodgebodge of a follow list. I'm not even making a VN (that anyone knows about). Soooo I guess add me if you want more random weird?

Re: Twitter
I don't know about mobile phone service in other (esp. developed) countries, but in mine, the message isn't sent via emails. It still use the old short messaging service (SMS). This is very expensive (about US$0.035) for maximum of 350 characters/message (and cost the same even if you only type 1 character). A bright contrast with sending an email (that cost vary according to how much you type), though you have to activate the GPRS first. Using internet, I only pay US$0.00001/KB). Since the size of sending a single email could be less than 10KB, it's really dirt cheap compared to SMS.Auro-Cyanide wrote:See, I don't even have the internet on my phone. Note: price could vary according to the service provider you use. Some provider in my country even offer lots of bonus like free internet/chatting feature, making it even more cheaper to communicate using internet via mobile phone.

I can only speak for Canada and the cell phone provider that I'm with, but here goes:LVUER wrote: I don't know about mobile phone service in other (esp. developed) countries, but in mine, the message isn't sent via emails. Here, to send a text message, unless it's included in the plan, it can cost around 0.05$-0.15$ per text message sent. The horror... :O My provider has lowered the price to 0.05$ this year. xD And we're limited to 140 characters. At least receiving it is free. xD I don't currently use the internet function on my phone, as it would cost an extra 7$ per month and I wouldn't use it that much anyway. I do think that emails would be cheaper though, if we actually use it enough. For 7$, I could get 140 text messages sent, but they're more limited I think. On the other hand, some unlimited text messaging plans cost about 5$.
So yeah, usage and what kind of usage is what matters for these kind of choices. xD As I always say, if you're not going to use a feature, why pay for it. :3 Don't worry Auro-Cyanide, there are many people like you. =D

Re: Twitter
... There's a phone in the kitchen. It is the home phone, not a mobile. I don't know the phone number, and I don't answer it when it rings. I try to pretend it doesn't exist.
Why would I need a personal phone?
I had one once, I never carried it and I lost it. Someone gave me another one, but it developed permanent malfunction immediately upon passing into my possession. Someone is currently trying to give me a blackberry because he upgraded to a newer phone, but I don't think that actually counts as me having it yet.
