I think I've already stated my opinion about that(on prev. post  ) I don't mean to specifically add another admin but you can always add a moderator right?

Oops, yeah, a moderator is fine. I always keeps forgetting that there is administrator and then there is a moderator ;P

Hm, I read this mainly to see the rules regarding spambots...
...I wound up learning a lot about them!^^
I wonder if I've ever encountered a spambot before, and didn't realize it?
Hm...
*instant paranoia*

I sometimes have to report spam on forums I frequent, and I just reported my first one here today. I didn't think I'd have to do it this early, but there it is.

Just want to point out that there seems to be waves of spambot lately, or spambot disguised as user that post a comment in various threads (mostly in 'general discussion'). Their comment is always short and pretty general in term on content, something like 'this is a nice post' etc, sometimes it's not related to the discussed topic at all but it has hint of promoting something. But the most important thing to notice is their comment always have link to some website.

I wonder if we should just report it when we found one? Because I've found several.

I am not a moderator here; however I am a moderator at another site. At that site I encourage members to report spambots and click farmers. They (spambots/click farmers) often use the same technique, making a post that could apply to many subjects.

I agree, it seems like there's been an uptick in spambot activity recently. The best thing to do is to just report the post and move on without acknowledging it (and of course, don't click the links).

Recently, spam messages regarding damsels and top-notch datings have been popping up again. It looks like older accounts are also affected, possibly password hacked (?)

I've cleaned things up, and also deactivated most accounts that have been inactive for 2+ years, so hopefully that will stop future spam.
