That would be quite troublesome. It's like to wait and be accepted by the admins to be in the forums. I've seen forums do that bust most of those are private ones.

@LVUER's idea doesn't sound bad though...

I don't like the idea of blocking hyperlink tags - they're just too useful to not allow people to use them. Signatures are something we can do with out - it's just a little bit of personal expression. But I don't want someone to not be able to share a game because the forum won't let them.

One of the buggers has just posted 4 new topics about jerseys (or, if taken literally, about collecting Brazil. I didn't know you could collect countries!) . I have to say, there's some pretty funny google translate english in there.

Has it been suggested that new members have a "lurk time" yet? Like you can't post until you've been a member the forums for a few days. I've been to forums like this before, and I have to say it seems very beneficial. Not only could it protect against spammers, but it could help new members learn to use the search feature to find answers to their questions before making new (unneeded) topics.

ugh, another spammer appeared and APPARENTLY it replied on topics and threads, now I'm lost if i should reply there anymore... :(

If we shouldn't reply on spammers, does this mean we need to close that certain thread or topic or we just need for admins to remove the said comment? ._.

The admins remove the offending post and then it's okay to post in the thread again. Just report the spampost with the (!) if it hasn't been reported already.

The spam bots shouldn't prevent you from replying to a non-spam post. We just don't want to see a posts like:

Hey, that's spam. What's spam doing on this forum!
If you reply like that, we then have to go and edit your post to remove the spam links. Also, if you reply at all, once we remove the spam, your post won't make sense, and might even seem to accuse a previous poster of spamming.

And why is that? YMail have a good spamshield. They blocked everything... I mean EVERYTHING, including a normal email that should go into your inbox...

In one day o_O It's time to change your email address!!! You live in Japan, right? And I thought Japan's net is the cleanest internet in the world (clean from spam, I mean). Do you use international YMail or Japan YMail?

Anyway, it doesn't matter if you use YMail, GMail, XMail, or ZMail... you WILL get spammed. Now about why you get so many... I don't know... Perhaps one of the sites you usually visit sell your email address or get hacked/stolen.

Note: I also get spam message from time to time. From ad for products like viagra to rolex, winning a lottery that I never participate in, a donation from some good guys, to invitation to court since I violate some US traffic laws... WHILE I LIVE IN INDONESIA!!!

VERY SAME! ...I was still living in the Philippines when the spam crisis happened. I use gmail right now, so far was never spammed. :) I dunno if i was using yahoo philippines or international back then but.... I'm sure that right now, i rarely ever use international sites and stick jp ones(which is a pain cause TT.TT even if i search an english word, it will come out in japanese)
