If true, that has got to be one of the most terrible diseases to affect ones outward appearance.

As the Gizmodo article points out, there's no particular reason to fake this, aside from 15 minutes of fame.

Looking at some of the other pictures from the source article, her arms do look like that of a 20-something. I have a sinking feeling that this might be true.

I have seen weirder illness, so I wouldn't be surprised.

It must be terrible to be afflicted by something no-one understands. You would feel so alone.

I've seen children that have aged rapidly, on both the inside and out.

No reason why this would be fake, it's an allergic reaction, so no reason to doubt it's authenticity.

I don't know if it's real or fake, and I don't really care either... It could be real, since there is an "illness" where this one 30 years old man have a look of 15 years young boy, so why not the reverse?

I showed the link to my friend Rose who is a medical student. She believes it's real as well. As for why....I didn't save the conversation but I think she said it was to do with the swelling of the skin. Not sure.
