how do you join a VN circle?

#1 Post by sayaka-chan95 »

I just wondering, my project seems don't make a fast progress. but I'm thinking how about if I join a VN circle, now that's sounds convincing. maybe in a circle I could meet advance crew that can make my project pace's faster than the current one. but is it just me or the circle is a closed group that only accept some people to join it.

I got the project halfway done, and maybe I just need a circle flag on it. but I just don't know how.
I'm sorry if my words are confusing, I have limited english capability here. :(

How to join a VN circle? That's easy. You ask the circle whether they want to let you join. You tell them what you can contribute, and if they want you onboard, well, then you've just joined a VN circle.

Maybe you'd like to found one? Bring a good idea, be prepared to either contribute the writing, the programming, the art or all three of them and post in our Recruitment thread for people willing to join your circle. Maybe you'll found the next big thing, who knows?

Yep, that's pretty much it! Be prepared to show your work so they know what kind of things you would be able to contribute :)

And if you get rejected, don't take it personally. Not every group is looking for new members, nor will everyone's style go together so well. No biggie, just keep improving your skills, doing that VN-making work, and keep trying :)

Ooh..I thought join a circle can only be done by recruitment from the admin of the circle or something XD (such a simple-minded me)

So how about if I already have a project ongoing and I just need their circle label? Does that can do too?
Anyway thank your for the advice and respond X3

I would suggest you be a little careful, though, because most groups have their own projects that they're already working on. They might feel a little insulted if you ask to join them just so they can help you with your project (especially if you don't plan on helping out with theirs). Joining a group is about doing things together. In general, people join groups to work on that group's project, not so that the group will work on their project. It might be faster and better if you recruit people and make your own circle for your own project(s).

Work with people, not with circles.

Circles usually contain friends who are already close-knit anyway, so you'll feel like an outsider.

I would suggest looking in the recruitment section or posting there yourself for people interested in your work. You could also pull in some friends who really like visual novels.

Or you could get some friends who just like art/telling stories/whatever to work on with your VN with you, and convert them into liking visual novels!

Good points by Camille and DaFool. That's probably the best way to go.

Think more about working on a certain project with people and let a "circle" develop naturally :)
