Gatsby Holiday Spoof + Your Warm Smiles

#1 Post by wingzofdarkness » Thu Dec 01, 2011 12:01 am

I was originally going to post this in "Post your own photo", but I thought I would be hogging the thread by making a really BIG and LONG post so I decided to invade the General Discussion Thread Topics.
Sorry for my spam.

XXXX

This is just a spoof I made because I love advertising. It's really fun. I hope I didn't offend anyone here. Otherwise, you can move on, go to the Gatsby website here and check out their products. Try it out and see how it works for you. Also, check out American Crew and Suave. Ultimately, this is for people who care about styling hair. My apologies to those who don't care :(

I hope I put a smile on some your faces because I enjoy making people happy. If you want, post a picture of your smile for me! I'm feeling rather lonely right now and a smile will make me feel better!

Thanks for reading my random holiday rant!

Happy Holidays for the year of 2011!

~Wingz

I swear this felt longer when I was putting all this stuff together...
Oh well.

Here is a Gatsby Commercial video for your entertainment because it's pretty cool and messed up at the same time...

I clicked on this expecting to see something related to Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby >_> And instead, I found lulz :D So all is not lost, old sport I suppose.

I would post a picture of me smiling, but I don't have my camera with me. Here, have a cookie instead :3

Ahh, I'm glad there was some laughter and smiles. I appreciate your post...and the cookie <3

Yes, I forgot that people would think of "The Great Gatsby". Well, let's see how many people will say that when they first read it. I love deception xD

For years I've longed to turn my azn hair into a porcupine, but what about the hassle? How long does it take to set up/wash out at night/does it leave residue?

So, this is the secret to Phoenix Wright's hairstyle? Interesting!

@Omnificent: Doing anything to alter your appearance requires work. If you want to spike your hair, it will require a lot of hassle. However, I suggest using "Gatsby Spiky Edge" moving rubber.
If you can access Youtube, you can watch this and see how simple the process is. The only issue with this is getting the hang of how it works with your hair. Everyone's hair is different.
I particularly don't use Gatsby a lot. I stick to using "American Crew" and hairspray with strong holding power. It's been working fine for me.
Gatsby is really strong so it takes at least two or three shampoo washes to get it out. But I've only heard that from reviews. I think it depends on how much you use.

@Auro-Cynaide: If one were to create such a thing I nominate you to be the first! Unless there is one already in existence...o.0

@Taleweaver: I'm sorry, I do not believe that this is his secret. Phoenix Wrights' hair just simply defies gravity. Period.
Heh, just kidding ._. On a serious note, if you mean he uses Gatsby to create his hairstyle, I believe hair gel is the more likely system.

Sweet! I too thought that you were going to talk about "The Great Gatsby," by F. Scott Fitzgerald. :P
Really cool spoof of an ad. I thought it was cool how the model mentioned that she didn't actually use that product. I see ads for hair care products in magazines all the time where the model's hair looks amazing, and yet when I try to use it, my hair looks nothing like that. (and I have some good looking hair, too)
The actual ad is amazing! How in this world does that guy do that? Also, his hair makes me want to chop off mine and try out that stuff, it looks so cool! Does it work on finer Caucasian hair?

I wonder what happens if you put all three in your hair at once! Actually, not sure I'd want to try it... maybe it's toxic to mix? Still, the idea of rubber in your hair is intriguing...

I am yet another poor soul lured here by your devious misappropriation of the word Gatsby, but I should have known better . . . .
