Kings Park, NY.

They made a movie about us!
The asylum has been closed since long before I moved here. It's now a really cool park, although it will be less cool once they tear down all the old buildings.

The U.S. Granted, my town doesn't have KKK like before, but that's what probably describes it best. Especially since when my mom first moved here (when she was a kid, mind you), someone hung a sign that said, "This is Klan territory." Twice. It got taken down, put back up, and then taken down again.
