That is hilarious. I would love to read a story like that. EVERY CHARACTER IS RIDICULOUSLY ATTRACTIVE KEKEKEKEKE

Oh, after I clean my room I'm going to have to dig out my old "plays" that I wrote in 3rd grade and scan 'em up for everybody. I was a regular Anton Chekhov.

When i was in 2nd grade, we had to make a book and draw pictures and stuff. I made a book about my trip to Disneyland.
I actually think I still have that book somewhere.

I don't really remember any of the other stories i wrote as a child, but they probably had to do with doggies ohwait! ok i think i remember one now. i think i wrote a story about these space doggies that came from like pluto (lol cuz ya know pluto is mickeys dog and i thought alien space doggies would come from pluto shuddup i was like 8 >_> ) and they came to earth and took me back with them cuz turned out i was a doggy princess and stuff and yeah i was all happy and yay!

i was REALLY obssessed with dogs when i was a kid, i dunno why....no wonder i had no friends, i must of been the wierd "dog girl" or something :(

I barely able to remember my childhood because I lacks in memorizing department. But anyway, I think I did wrote a story when I was. . . third grades in elementary school? Or even older than that? I don't remember correctly, but I think the story was. . .

An adventure of a couple of children that barely knows the world and their selves. They went into many ordeals, as they are being drawn by the wonder of the strange world they are in.

I think it was like that.

In school (so aged 7 or so) I started writing a series of stories about a character called "Anthony the Explorer" who flew a space-ship and discovered new planets. That went on for years, I think. Classmates used to crop up as assistants (possible Doctor Who influence?) and would usually be incompetent enough to need rescuing, until the teacher made me stop using people in my stories without permission.

That character is actually making a come-back. I have been trying to write a 'Boy's Own Adventure'-style steampunk book with him as the main character.

Do pokemon fanfics count when I was really young?
Omg, this was me! I had a huge stash of notebooks hidden under my bed, all filled with Pokemon fanfics. And I kept writing Pokemon fanfics all the way from fifth grade through high school. <--huge geek

In my early school days, I remember being required to make a narrative story. Mine was about a lone girl living in a forest with a pet fox who helps a lost man. I actually had to draw some parts. Those were the days where my drawings, writing, and cleanliness were -extremely- child-like. ^^;;

I remember the very first story I wrote from the beggining to the end was some homework I had to make with three of my friends in middle school.
It was some sort of Blair Witch like story, as my friends suggested. They made the characters... and left the whole writing to me alone o_O.
Was the very first time I took writing seriously. So in the end, we got an A, I started writing my own stories and never stopped since then.

My earliest story I can remember was largely ripped off of inspired by Animal Crossing. It was called Peindre ma Maison (Painting my house) and it was about a girl who boarded the wrong train and ended up in a town full of animals instead of people. All of the story was about her working hard to afford a train ticket to the right town, but in the end, she spent all of the money to upgrade/paint her house... yeah, I obviously loved Animal Crossing back then. xD

Hmm...
I frequently had to make essays during most of my school curriculum so I barely remember which was the first.

It was back in my first year of middle school and I believe it was about basing a story around a fairytale of our choice.
I picked Three Little Pigs and set it in a modern day environment. It felt like the Home Alone movie in certain parts, except there were 3 brothers.

Out of this exercise, the class compiled every story into a book and we each got our own copy. Fun experience overall :)

My earliest stories were about Digimon and DBZ. I was going to post an excerpt from one of my fanfics I wrote when I was 9, but on second thought, I'll spare everyone the torture. :D I think my first original story had to do with a hamster who escaped his cage and joined a wolf pack. ...Yeah.

Wow... I just realized that I've never written fan fiction before. I've done plenty of mental shipping, but never any fan fiction. What is wrong with me?

The first story I remember that wasn't just a paragraph story that was used to illustrate the scrawl that passed off as my cursive... let's just say it could very easily have been the most generic fantasy otome game evar. With the works. This was loooooooooooong before I even knew what the hell an otome was, so I don't even.

I'd actually consider scanning and posting some stuff here, but I'd first have to translate it to English and that would not only be time-consuming, but I also doubt I'll manage to resist the urge to "fix" stuff. :D

Forgive me for being weak!!

Fantasia, but without the otome part and without Oswald XD The main character is a prince named Kai (who is blue) and a girl he summoned from another world in accident named Valen (who is pink, lol) and Kai set off in a journey with her to close the gate between the world. He gathers friends, namely Bryant, Gil, Xirara, Colette and Ken (who is later revealed as valen's older brother) alongside the journey. It turns out kai's dad made him summon valen to open the gate so his army of fantasy creatures can go into valen's world and overtake it. Hahaha~

I used to make comics and picture books before I actually began to write just stories.

I'd would probably say my first non-illustrated story was in 2nd grade. All my stories tended to be about the adventure of my friends (which changed constantly) and I, except we were "teen/adult" hybrids and I had a weird fixation on having neon green spiked hair and a black leather catsuit. (well basically it was more like a two piece vest/pants combo but still..).

Sometimes we were crime fighting mystery solvers, other times we were like magical fighters or just lost in a fantasy world. Summed up they were cheesy over the top adventures. They were great, hahah
