I think I prefer it to be a non-contest, with a specific theme to make it interesting! Like you said, Monster, or zombie, or black and white.
I would like to do a collab with everyone, but I guess that would be slightly hard?
But I think we can do it if we gather a specific size of a character image dressing for halloween with transparent background, then someone would be incharge of gathering them all and paste them into one file.
Okay, I just made things more difficult. Nevermind.

It's probably better to just stick with a general theme of "Halloween" so we can spend less time deciding on the theme and more time working on stuff xD;;;;; But a list of specific topics to help people decide what to make might be helpful! Like monsters, zombies, graveyard, foods, trick or treat, witches, ghosts, cats, haunted house, darkness, pumpkins, fear, etc.

Sounds like a fun idea! I'd also love to do it if i don't get crushed by work (fends off incoming assignments with a stick).
When I first saw the Halloween theme, my brain instantly went to Trick-or-Treat -> costumes -> cosplay! instead of the normal spooky monsters and horror things. Definitely something wrong with me, lol. ;p

I think I'll team up with someone (need to get his okay first) for a story and picture combo, and it'd a crossover of our games' characters. That isn't breaking any of the rules per se, but it isn't included so...?

The rules are a little vague though, Well for those of us who haven't done anything like this.
So, we make a Quick game or scene under 1k words/3 minuets with one BG, with established characters from our own games/ projects.

Ah, to make this clear, it's not a VN you are making. You can if you want of course but that would be crazy ambitious. Basically you just have to create a single work. If you want to write you can do a short story or poem. If you want to draw you can create a picture or a short comic. If you create music you can do a short halloween piece.
And yes, collaborations are fine.
