Normally I would say bad things about "Singles Awareness Day".....
but now as a ren'ai game maker I have to take this opportunity to exploit the holiday for all it's worth (mu hu hu hu >: ) )
Anyway, have a good one.

I ended up watching a live performance
http://paulwilliamsconnection.org/
I looked around the coliseum...and saw lots of not-so-young people.
Gaah! I'm already in that stage between young adult and 'entering midlife crisis'

I went around as part of a quartet doing singing Valentines, for the fourth year in a row. Lots of fun, lots of singing.
Maybe it's just because I am single by choice (or, at least, single because I don't try), but I've never understand why single people get so annoyed by the holiday.

I think it's because the holiday focuses on couples...leaving those that are alone in the lurch. Ergo, anyone who is alone on Valentine's Day gets reminded of it 7 zillon times, and feels resentful as a result.
A friend is one that walks in when the world walks out.

There needs to be a holiday for the cheering-up of single people! Bachelor pride and such!
(Bleh, I want a husband already. But I am picky and literally waiting for a sign from Above.)

I want a wife too. But I have to start a company first...and it's easier to level up before love than during it. Plus, I'm waiting until at least after December 21st, 2012, just to be sure that whomever I meet isn't literally part of the End Times scenario. After that date, I'd be sure that I'm already either in Heaven or Hell, so I'll be more focused. Currently, I'm not sure at all. It's just more than 5 years from now, I can stick with it, but I'm working hard to get that Great English Visual Novel out the door before the world ends.

Argh, screw Valentine. We shall celebrate Single Day instead.
Bah, who needs chocolates, when you can just buy it yourself. It is a conspiracy.
